this is a fairly random question + i’m not even sure if this topic belongs in this forum, but annastefka reminded me of this when she mentioned she was off to see elf power + jucifer the other night …

does anyone remember some really nice j + the fog + warblers pix taken by one of the elf power guys back in 2001 ?? and if so, do you know where i can find them now ??

      thanks :D

You mean the pics mentioned in this topic?

…..sadly the pictures themselves seem to have gone to the big Internet heaven up there in the sky…. :?

Rambleon and all, I also don’t know if this belongs under this index but to add some interesting tid-bits. I wanted to let Y’all know that the best band, BY FAR, on Saturday night was "The Late BP Helium"
the first act, this is Bryan Poole’s band, Bryan was once the bass player for elf-power and talks of the decision to leave that band came one night while touring with J. and he says after a show he came to the conclusion that he was being held back in "Elf Power" and he said it was just like knowing a love relationship has gone bad. He says he hit the streets and just started crying and walking. OK, that is so sweet. Well, this is the band to see. This was about the third time I had seen "Elf Power" and I hate to say it but. Well My Mom always said if you have nothing good to say better say nothing at all. "The late BP Helium" check um out<

yes, den buck … to answer your 1st post, those seem like the pix i remember … so they’re no longer around … but OSX posted that topic, so does that mean he took those pix ? i’m confused now :o (and it doesn’t take much, believe me  )

if they were taken by OSX is there no way he could be persuaded to post them again on his website ?? …

or if someone in elf power took them maybe elf power could post them on their website if they have one ??

… annastefka, as you are the queen of the athens rock scene, do you happen to (personally) know who took those pix ??

hey den buck … that’s a cool review, i had never seen that before, so thanks

annastefka … i had never heard of that band (the late bp helium) before, so i’ll have to keep my eye out for them if they make it over here + i didn’t know there were going to be 3 bands there !! were there lots of bands ? i thought it was a jucifer record release party – or something like that ??

                … how was jucifer ?

I wish I could claim title of Queen of Athens Rock Scene but I must confess I took 10 years off of rockin’ to raise 4 children. I was a transplant to Athens having met my husband in Atlanta, I was there working on a film and he a was a painter selling art. I lived in New York City for a decade having gone to School in Rochester, NY> I was born in Mississippi, I’m a gemini so having said all of that I just love music and now that my children are getting older I am able to get back out. I will check with "Elf Power" don’t know them personally but they bought a chunk of land down the road from ours. I am sure they have a web site, I will mail and ask about
photos, What made you think someone in the band had taken them? Oh, and Jucifer, well, I had a smile across my face most of the time. If Tommy Victor from Prong had a sex change and Jim Carrey (the actor) was his drummer. Like I said I had a good smile on. The next day someone asked me "Has Amber learned to play guitar?" and I said "She’s no J. Mascis but she has a wall of amps 8 feet high. I have a friend who’s son is deaf (5 years old ) and I was thinking, God, I wish the place was smoke free! That show could have been one of his first sound experiences. Ok, I have way to much time on my hands if I am posting these long things. S.

well, if i remember correctly some of the pix were taken after the show + some were taken at j’s house + some were taken at the middle east club show w/the warblers + maybe some others during their soundcheck as well … so i figured – from the picture content – they weren’t just your average fan pics … so they must have been taken by someone in elf power or i suppose someone else connected w/that tour …

                      ok… yeah… i’ve still got those pics.
did i post those once? hmmm……

so yeah… we, elf power, did two tours with the fog.
i’ve got lots of pics though most are just stupidly blurry.
i was shooting with a Canon S100 digital camera.
man, i wanted to get some better pics of j.’s fridge.
there was a pic on there of j. playing to his grandfather
in a living room or something.

i’ll see what i can dig up for ya guys and post a link.

Right about now is the time where I would’ve loved to be witty, brilliant and a genious with sugar on top.
Instead I’ll say a big thanks for the update on the pics, and a link would be cool indeed!

Yes, I got in touch with the late bp Helium ( ex elf power ) and asked him if he knew anything about the pictures. I asked him to come here and give y’all any info he could. I see he did it. Oh, what joy. Please take some time and visit his web site thelatebphelium.com He also told me about a fantastic site that any J. fan would love http://corndogs.org”>http://corndogs.org check it out! Thanks, Stefka

That is so strange rambleon, I had been thinking of you today because my little girl Anna, whom I watch, is in London just today.
I need to get back in touch with bp Helium, and ask again, but I rembember someone saying on this board that the photo’s were posted by OSX, who has a birthday upcoming. His last post here that I noticed was when Bob died. Perhaps he will come here for his birthday or I will go back to Bob’s thread and see if we can E-mail him. I will also E-mail Helium.

But the strange thing is I just mentioned OSX in my last post under J and the Fog Westcoast and I had not yet read this.
