J in Cologne

Hey,

I just returned from J´s show in Cologne, it was a good one. Here´s a brief breakdown of the songs he played (from the top of my head) – I will post the setlist when I have my recording ready (I taped the show first row right in front of him with my analog stereo cassette recorder, the result is very good – I´ll try to upload it, when I get the chance):

J played for about 80 min, sound was good, audience a little strange – ohhhh, this one rude guy coming to the front of the stage, yelling YEAH ! over and over, spilling his beer over the camera belonging to one of my friend´s girlfriend and shouting at everyone, waht a jerk….
and next to me these really young 15 year old punk-rock kids yelling through EVERY song, ahhhhh well.
As I said, looking forward to posting the full setlist soon. <img>

Oh yeah, the actual set (before the encores) ended with a long version of Alone.

J pretty much did no talking exept for the occasional ´thanks for coming´ – it was funny seeing him drinking from a plastic cup *while* his loop-effect was playing….
before the coda in QUEST he took his guitar on his chest and slap-drummed it for a few seconds, looking very serious and amused at the same time, hitting the fuzz afterwards.

NirvanaRist, the song you have is probably the version of ‘Thumb’ from the album ‘Martin & me’ – all acoustic and very beautiful <img>
