J will be doing an in-store appearance at Sonic Boom Records (Ballard) in Seattle at 6:00 on 10/24 as well as his gig at the Tractor later that night! They usually post a few pictures of the performance, so check out: http://www.sonicboomrecords.com

I’ll check the site ’round the 24th, but I also hope that you (and maybe some others here) can attend the record store appearance + the gig, personally <img>I just picked up my tickets for this show. I am wondering if you happen to know about the taping policy at the Tractor? I am thinking of just giving them a call. If they are cool with it I might try to get either some audio or video from the show. I think J is cool with it because I saw him at the Grog Shop in Cleveland last year and there was a guy there videotaping it. Would I love a copy of that or what? Anyway I am going to try and make it to the in store as well. I have to drive up from Olympia.

You don’t need any tickets for the Sonic Boom in-store. It is a free event. I guess they do them all the time. You can go to their website and check out the schedule. The link is up there in bside’s post. I am still trying to figure out the scoop with taping. I am hoping to get a 2 for 1 deal with the in-store and then the concert that night. Got my fingers crossed and hope it all works out. Either way I will post my unbiased (yeah right) opinion of both.
Donfather, sometimes it’s better not to ask about the club policy (they usually say no!) SonicBoom and the Tractor are cool places–pretty laid back, not too many scenesters and no surly security. Take your stuff and give it a try and be sure to share with us!

One of the pics gives a detailed view over J’s pedals.thanks for the link to the J pics! i went to both shows in Seattle and they exceeded my expectations once again. i think i might be able to get a copy of the show at The Tractor. if i do, i would love to share it with the rest of the Mascis fans around the world, but not sure of how to convert the audio into a format to go onto the computer, nor care to learn (sorry). but i will gladly send a copy to "The Man In Charge" of the site. i will put up a post when i find out for sure…i’m keeping my fingers crossed!
oh ya- i looked at the other IN-STORE PERFORMANCE pictures from sonic boom records and i must say that the "INDIE" TIGHT TEE SHIRT TREND is about as pathetic as SPANDEX AND HAIRBANDS…just a new era of SHIT! i have no problem with buying clothes second hand, but buy the right damn size you wanna be hippies!
