as far as I remember, J said in some interviews last year, that he has left his apartment in Manhattan to live in MA after & because of 9/11 and that someone rented it from him, or something like that.

J seems a little "Free so Free" to me, Athens, Texas, Colorado, West Coast, Autralia, New Zealand, Cape Cod and places we don’t even know about. Where he lays his head at night might be inconsequential to this event. :aliensmile:
I think he still has a place in NYC. Because I have seen him twice now on 34th street which is relatively near Grammacy Park where his apartment is.
thanks for the heads up ill be looking out for him when im near there for now on, its really hard to miss someone in NYC though, I heard he disguises himself like howard stern for more attention lol j/k
I could make Hash cookies and Mushroom tea… No wait, this idea is amazing! I can’t think of any original way to create funds, except to donate maybe a little money myself–but I would definitely be there–with a big cowbell on
How about a live recording of the festival–maybe that would generate some post-op revenu, or maybe sell the rights to a radio or t.V. station for a simulcast.id be down for a cover show of dinosaur jr songs and other stuff got some friends i play with who also would be down

Oh, my, I had to edit and put this sort of negative review of the Hostel in the woods, please read it if you have the time, I love his idea of musicians being opposed to work but all about drinking beer. Oh, and his allergies, geez, so funny. Hear is a link.

A couple bands from the Freaks here so far, no doubt we have a couple dj’s here who could also put together some cool sounds for the Freaks Festival…anyone
Might also be cool to have a couple of the films/videos J has put out playing thru the club…

Someone told me about this Hostel fifteen years ago, it’s so strange that you brought it up!–would like to go
if this does happen, maybe some artistic type around here could design a cool ticket like the smith college one

oh yeah, + i am soooo not into camping …
one question though … why is NYC not a favourite of everyone around here ? it would be easy to get to … by plane or train or car or bus or whatever … + once you’re there, you’re there … i’m not so sure i’ll be able to make it anyhow – fingers crossed i will, but the plane ticket money could be the one factor that prevents me from attending – but surely we want to make it easy for people to get wherever it is + not in the middle of nowhere
:aliensmile: if people have to fly in or bus in or train it in + then rent a car + drive for hours to get into the middle of nowhere i just think that could be a little off-putting …
