The where you been version of drawerings sounds to me like J,but the martin and me version I think is Fedora,J says it is at the end.
I think Fedora played the rhythm guitar on the where you been version.

It’s J playing the solo on M&M. I think that we have discussed this on another thread, but if you saw any of the gigs you would know that Kurt is playing rhythm (and that’s what J thanks him for)

My favourite solo has to be the one in ‘Sure not over you’. It’s really short but really great. There is nothing worse than solos that overstay there welcome, even if they are by J. This one is short and complements the song perfectly. Incidently this song is also where I took my ‘signature’ from.

I like Start Choppin a lot and The Lung, Let it Ride… and I DON’T THINK! How could I forget that one? Bliss! Hand it over was a great album wasn’t it?

right now, the solo for same day from the rollingston video is like boss-hog to me.

Get me. Duh! Oh did I say…Get me? Damn, thats just a gorgeous rippin solo all the way through. Amazing. I also love the intro solo in Grab It. I love the dive bome whammy slam into the noise, gorgeous. There are so many tasteful solos I cant even begin.

It’s been a long time since the last posting here, maybe we can reactivate this thread? J. plays so many wonderful solos, we can debate this a little more. I couldn’t answer this question in a appropiate way but, in this moment, I can say that "Ammaring" solo doesn’t get off my head! My son is complainning, because I wake up singing this song, I cook singing this song, I wash the clothes singing this song!

Ammaring is a great solo for sure, the same goes for Alone.

Yes, it seems that he puts all the pain of the world in "Alone"! I’d love to see J. playing this song alive…

I must say that "The Lung" has my favorite of J.’s solos. Good choice Salamiguy. Also, "The Wagon" and (of course) "Freak Scene" (although muddied, it’s great on the Sonic Youth video "1991: The Year Punk Broke"). "The Lung"’s just speaks, though, it’s a self-expression beyond words that J. manages to capture and harness. J.’s a great guitarist (imagine if he joined Nirvana on drums!).

Oh yeah, both solos in "All the Girls" are great too.

Ok, I spent my Saturday and Sunday afternoons in a very pleasant task: choosing some noisy solos by J. (I prefer the noisy ones!). Here we go! the deafening "Pebbles&Weeds"; the final part of "Sludgefeast", "The Leper" is great, solo, lyrics, everything!, "How D’ya Pin…", "Raisans" is one of my favourite songs, it’s perfect and its solo is amazing. And "Bulbs of Passion" too. Now I’m going to the thread about lines!

Definitely, that outro to "Sludgefeast" is brutal on its own and is only intesified with that solo. Awesome, no doubt.
