April 8, 2003 at 11:44 am #92910Got this through the Mike Watt mailinglist:
"cobra verde. bruised, battered, scarred but hard veteran spielers and guitar-slingers pour you a double shot of rock that calls to mind lou reed’s rock and roll animal period, roxy music, and pretty much every damn good thing about classic rock. on the 19th @ the grog shop ($7, 9 pm) we’re debuting our new CD, easy listening, with singin’ sweethearts kiddo and lusty barflies the bedroom legends. helping us out on lead guitar and long hair will be j. mascis (yeah, him, from dinosaur jr, yes?). on the 25th, verde dolls up for prom nite at the beachland ballroom, where we’ll be swillin’ punch and playing spin-the-bottle with tyler keith and the preacher’s kids and the gritty acid rock of new planet trampoline. that’s six bucks if you dust off yer old promwear;eight if you’re too lazy."
