December 9, 2007 at 4:29 pm #132706Ugh, I hate Flying V’s. Such terrible guitars.
Stick to Jazzmasters J.

December 9, 2007 at 8:14 pm #132708no love for the V? I love ’em. I passed on the reverse V though. Despite their looks supposedly a great sounding guitar.

Gibsons are awesome guitars, and if I remember correctly, J records with them, or has recorded with them.

Funny how short and small the reversed V looks compared to the "normal" version.Flipping the body around clips off a bit of length
March 15, 2008 at 12:07 pm #132716Well I play an SG and a Strat and I disagree with what J thinks… it’s probably the P-90’s, frankly.
April 9, 2008 at 11:35 am #132717That looks like the pic my girlfriend took at their House of Blues show here in Dallas last time they were through town. That’s definately the right setup he had on stage, so I really wouldn’t be surprised if it was the picture she took. But hey, who knows.
When we saw them, it was their encore number, and they were playing Just Like Heaven, and about half way through the song J just stopped playing while Lou and Murph kept chugging along, and J’s tech walks on stage with the Reverse V and J just took off with a solo, it was good stuff!
It was funny though, you see how his signature Jazz is on the stand to the right of the amps; at our show at least, it sat there the entire show, not even so much as a nod in it’s direction.
September 16, 2008 at 11:57 am #132718Well, I’m going to get a new guitar on Friday to build a little credit and I was thinking about the J JM… but however, I don’t think Guitar Center carries that one.

Oh well. Sunburst is prettier than purple anyway.
I’m really thinking a Gibson… Gibsons are awesome guitars, despite what some little kid who can’t play guitar says…
