Hellacopters-Take A LookJanuary 14, 2002 at 5:08 pm #83514Nice! I’m into anything with GBV & SK. Is the Get Up single worth $10 though? Especially if I have the Hot Rock? Just wondering.
January 14, 2002 at 5:28 pm #83515HTW-depends how much a collector you are I guess,cd singles cost too much money I find, even worse here in Canada it`s 15 dollars
Do you have all the SK albums?you should buy all of them first before checking out cd singles things.Another thing to check out is the Villavillakulla compilation called Move Into The Villavilla, has 3 SK songs including their version of Boston`s More Than A Feeling which will annoy all the 40 somethings that hear it January 14, 2002 at 5:35 pm #83516I actually have them all except the self titled debut, only because I haven’t seen it recently. Also have Heavens to Betsy’s Calculated, which is just bad-ass. I’ll have to grab that Villavillakula comp, though. Is it on KRS?
January 14, 2002 at 5:46 pm #83517No,it`s on Villavillakulla.I found it in a used store a few years ago,I was really surprised to see it,has some other good stuff:Ruby Falls,Kaia,Tattle Tale, etc.
The first album is my least fav album but it`s not bad, drummer Lora MacFarlane sings one song, check out her solo stuff-Ninety Nine is the band she`s in now.I have the first 99 album, pretty good,it`s on a Canadian label from Winnipeg,Man. called Endearing records. The second album is too but I think V2 picked it up for distribution.I read an interview with her once, her musical heroes are Stravinsky,Sonic Youth, and Billie Holiday. -
