This is BY NO MEANS a rip on J – but I have to say he’s crackin’ me up with the t-shirts he’s been wearing onstage! Where does he find these things?
The wolf howling in the moonlight is hilarious. In Cleveland he wore a shirt that appeared to be a full-out abstract design made of baby seal faces.
Rock on, J! Ya gotta love him!
July 21, 2005 at 12:22 pm #111510The Discharge one he wore at Central Park was sweet, and I’ve seen a picture from this tour where he was wearing a Wipers shirt. The man has good taste in music, the major exception of the Magik Markers aside.

At this point I’ll keep mentioning it solely to break balls. But god, they really were the pits.
July 21, 2005 at 4:33 pm #111513Thats one of my favorite aspects of J, his freaking clothes, I think he is a pretty authenic guy, those zippered sports sweat jackets, oh man, there is no way, I would let my husband out of the house in that, but J can pull it off.
I have been looking through the magazines recently (I don’t have telly so it helps to catch up) what the F#2K is up with David Navarro, okay, this is a guy who cares way too much about how he looks, I was reading some article with a photograph and I felt like he needs a swift pie in the face, he has become some hideous metrosexual type creature. Someone needs to revoke his guitar license, and fast, what a goofball.July 21, 2005 at 5:42 pm #111514Thats wierd because whenever I think of Dave Navarro I think of some kid with really nappy hair and just a shirt and jeans..
July 22, 2005 at 3:03 am #111515I’ve always thought J was a snappy dresser
Some classic on stage T Shirts include a marvellous Strength Through Oi! t shirt (with the ‘orrible Skin dude botting his boot towards the camera) and that old Tad Sub Pop t shirt he used to sport with the hearts in Tads eye. Liked his Alien Workshop Ts too!
He’s really rocking it with that Wolf t shirt though. You’ve got to really not care/have a lot of balls to pull that look off. Kinda Market Stall/Fairground chic!! Over in the UK about 15 years ago there was a real trend for kids to wear black bomber jackets with that kinda realistic panther design on the back. Mmm classy!!!
I used to dig his dyed Levi jacket and thick cardigan combo too.
Er…. maybe too much info here.July 22, 2005 at 11:15 am #111516that wolf shirt is made by the company i work for. the seal one too. it almost ruined the boston show for me, but then i decided it was hilarious. the shirt is titled "call of the wild", dye color is "blurple", it was discontinued in 2003.
July 22, 2005 at 11:41 am #111517My mom used to buy me shirts like the wolf one. My grade 9 teacher said it was great and I was too embarassed to wear it again. I could probably pull it off now
I want a green adidas sweater/jacket just like J’s
July 24, 2005 at 4:44 am #111518are there any pics of these shirts you guys are talking about ?

haha whatever they rock forever…
August 17, 2006 at 7:12 pm #111523There was a period of a couple years there where J was sporting some loud, pretty killer smoking jackets and other assorted retro blazers and the like. I think it was Mike Johnson’s influence, as he was a sharp retro dresser there for a while, with the fedoras and all. That was only a brief interlude, though, before J reverted to Wayne’s World.
