      More (embarrasing) essentials:
      Minutemen-Double Nickles on the Dime

      and some non essentials:
      Bunnygrunt-Jen Fi
      The Warmers-The Warmers

      and a Television Button

Funny enough, when I bought the CD’s the guy at the counter asked me if I wanted my CD autographed. Bunnygrunt’s guitarist works at Vintage Vinyl on the Loop!

        Punch Drunk Love DVD
        The Gorilla DVD…Bela Lugosi

Wish I could run into a cool sale like BR’s, gotta love those deals! Best I’ve found is a department store selling off all their gear, picked up lots of toys…power puff girls, looney tunes, Visible woman, man & dog models, all for 75% off

I’m such an asshole. I did some impulse buying today.

          1. Thursday (sticker on the cove said "imagine Dinosaur Jr meets a young angry Robert Smith of the Cure")

          2. The New Folk Implosion (Sticker on the cover said "Deep Wound >> Dinsoaur Jr >> Sebadoh >> Sentridoh >> Folk Implosion: Lou Barlow presents The New Folk Implosion")

          3. Jurassic 5 (don’t know the name of the album but they were playing it in the store where I bought jeans today)

No shit, I sure need it–especially this month. To help justify all this I decided I won’t buy a single cd in August.

At another closing Wherehouse I got:

J & MC–Psychocandy. It’s an import, but I don’t think there’s anything different about it. Their original price was 22 but they charged me 8. (Yes, I don’t have it already. ) Also, they are so stupid at this store that it was filed under the ‘P’s and on my receipt it says "Psychology".

Raveonettes–Whip it On. $4 new and I’ve seen dB mention them so I thought what the heck?

Teenage Fanclub–Songs from Nortern Britain. Used $3

D4–I forget the name, but it was used for $2.

Back to the other store on Tuesday! :P

The last of the Wherehouse blowouts:

                      Cousteau–Sirena–$9
                      Libertines–Up the Bracket–$7
                      Stratford 4–Love & Distortion–$5
                      New Pornographers–Electric Version–$9

That bastard lied and things were still 50% off.

Julie Doiron / Okkervil River – Split CD
5 songs from Julie Doiron, 4 from Okkervil River, a beauty!

                        16 Horsepower – Olden
                        sessions from 1993/94

Calexico – Alone again or (cd single)
Love cover, and a fine Cinematic Orchestra remix of ‘Woven Birds’

5 track ep on the Spanish Ediciones Acuarela label, fascinating dark songs….

…..and some fine Belgian beers (Palm, Rodenbach, Haecht, and some more…)….. 8)

The Haecht White Beer (and it’s glass) are in the freezer now, so, in a couple of minutes I am going to drink this nice cold, ice cold beer! (still 30 degrees over here, nine o’clock in the evening….)
