I love Calexico. Those two trompets are awesome, hope to see them again here in Amsterdam!

it’s a shame! after months with no good gigs at all, there’s a week in August with 3 interesting shows in a row! which tickets should I buy in the first place?

Adam Green August 09, Hamburg – Logo
Lambchop August 10, Hamburg – Fabrik
The Thermals August 11, Hamburg – Molotow

other upcoming gigs I consider to go to:

Mark Lanegan August 24, Hamburg – Logo
Hanin Elias September 16, Hamburg – Fabrik
Giant Sand & Thalia Zedek October 11, Hamburg – Fabrik
The Hives October 30, Hamburg – Große Freiheit 36

                  I would go for:
                  1. the Thermals (they rock!)
                  2. Adam Green (fine singer/songwriter, don’t know if he’s playing solo or with a band… )
                  3. Lambchop (fine band, but boring shows, last time they were around I gave them a miss because it was a ‘seats only/bar closed’ gig, and that’s not very rock’n’roll :P  )

thanks for the input! it’s about the same what I think about it. I’d love to see the Thermals, their shows must kick ass  and an Adam Green show is surely nice (solo or not, no clue).
…and about Lambchop…. I like their albums, although all in all, they’re too mellow for me, so I thought their shows are maybe a bit livelier :? well, if that’s not the case, that show isn’t a "must have".
I’ll make the final decisions more short-term I think. thanks again :)

very cool plans, LTG, have lots of fun at both shows!!! I wish thy’d come over to Europe!

I just bought tickets for the Thermals & Adam Green. the Thermals kick ass! the more I listen to their 2 albums, the more I want to listen, so I’ll definitely be at the show. the club is right outside my door, but it’s quite small & the Thermals are a bit of wellknown, so woudn’t be amused to see it being sold out w/o me :P

and I’m optimistic about that the Adam Green show will be a nice evening, too :)
