Have a good time K7
a few folks on another site are seeing them in Boston; by the way her name is Carol,Bettie Serveert is the band name.March 15, 2003 at 4:14 am #73409I just bought tickets for:
the Kills – Paradiso (small hall) Amsterdam 3/18
Bettie Serveert/Sukilove – Paradiso Amsterdam – 5/22If you like Bettie Serveert, check their latest album "Log 22", it is excellent. It’s much more rocking than their latest albums, I think that Carol is now using her other band Chitlin’ Fooks for her more quiet/ballad stuff…..

…..What Kinda music is this "the kills" I’m going to Spinvis in the main hall that evening so I might hop in to this "kiks-gig" afterwards…
March 15, 2003 at 6:29 pm #73411Hey Hansione,
The Kills are the next in the White Stripes/Raveonettes boy-girl band line. On record they sound a little less bluesy than the White Stripes, imagine PJ Harvey backed by the Velvet Underground (or so…
), feel free to drop in, but don’t take too many spinvisjes with you
March 21, 2003 at 7:29 am #73412the new folk implosion – ULU
Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks + ex blur guitarist (am hoping to introduce him to my beating stick….) at the Royal Festival Hall!!!????
can’t see malkmus in there, but should be a blastMarch 21, 2003 at 7:32 am #73413the magic band, london 7 april.
won’t go there because i’m afraid of flying, considering circumstances.
have 2 tickets – nobody wants them.March 21, 2003 at 10:21 am #73414get on the plane dammit fuzz king. don’t start making changes due to this.
anyways, did you know that in Europe you have a 1 in 200 chance of dying in a car accident?
March 21, 2003 at 3:35 pm #73415hey fuzz king, sorry to hear about you cancelling your cool plans. maybe just watch the course of things & decide later?
Anyway – welcome
nice to see some more Germans here
I just bought tickets for: Folk Implosion (5th May) & Go-Betweens (7th May)

All here in Hamburg, no flight required…. but I can’t seem to find any advance sale for the Songs:Ohia gig on 2nd April
March 26, 2003 at 5:09 am #73416yeah… well, urhm…
thanks for the advice on the magic band.
everybody’s telling me to do it. javro: yeah i know
about all those car accident chances, but ME NO LOGIC
WHEN BELLY FULL OF FEAR. thanks again.
maybe i’ll go. always stuff like this…
i had 2 tickets for the hazlewood gig and didn’t
go there becaus of girl hassle. there were 2 times when
i had tickets for the pixies (back in the yer ole days)
and i just didn’t make it (for no special reasons).

uncle lou has put it. flying cloud: thanks for the warm welcome, sorry i didn’t
introduce myself decently, but i totally freaked out when i found out about freakscene.net & the bulletin boards.
