Okay my band plays more often, but tonight it was like the real thing. Picture this: a big hall, 800 people, two guys for the sound, one for the light, a dressingroom with drinks (no liquer
) and a free dinner.
The sound was solid, great. Fantastic to even hear yourself on stage.
The venue was a 60ties revivalthing. The Fab5 were opening up for a real hitmachine in the sixties, "The Fortunes". We played a set of Beatlehits, starting with the early work; Hard daysnight / Help / We can work it out etc. And finishing with songs like Lady Madonna / One after nine 0 nine / Come together / Get Back, The crowed was dancing, I even saw people jump a little bit.
While glancing the dancefloor I thought I saw a scene of the movie: "Cocoon" Oldtimers dancing and swinging, like they just drank from the well of eternal youth. I bet they feel different in the morning
There was a lady, not to old
; she told me afterwards that she had gooseflesh while we played "Girl" What can I say! As a musician, there is no bigger cheer!
Anyway, it is not the indiething, no J. stuff, the alternative music I love so much, but it was great to taste a small piece of this….September 23, 2006 at 10:16 pm #122301hey hans – do you sing the "tit tit tit tit " part during Girl?
September 24, 2006 at 1:20 am #122302You know you can´t tell such a story without me demanding pictures of your amazing self on stage !

Yeah, you know -that hit from the sixties…it was really popular and people would dance. They sang about ‘run and get the fire brigade, get the fire brigade, when the building starts to really burn.’
