Lump was limp and lonely and needed a shove
Lump slipped on a kiss and tumbled into love
She spent her twenties between the sheets
Life limped along at subsonic speedsLife in general, not to mention my socks really stink today, so I need something to cheer me up. Nothing like a little ol’ PUSA when you’re down!
Froggie jumped all over the stage that day
Rolling Stone magazine sucked him dry and made him king
Froggie let rip with a big burp
Mick Jagger kissin’ frogie’s lips n studying films of froggie’s hips
His eyes are closed cause he’s off in a world of ecstacy
Where froggie folks get the froggie sceneWATCH HIM JUMP!
I can’t explain glacial motion
Or why Los Angeles don’t drop into the ocean
I can’t unfold the layers of mystery
Or piece together the tragedy of history‘Cuz those lucky suckers, they don’t have to work
Big 3-D billboards and big 30-foot Smurfs
And everybody wants to be naked and famous
Everybody wanna be just like me, I’m naked and famousI met a poet, said she didn’t like the smell of it
Then took her clothes off in a restaurant for the hell of it
I met a DJ who lived in seclusion, reality and sobriety were her only delusionsAnd those lucky bastards, they don’t have to work
Big 3-D billboards and big 30-foot Smurfs
And everybody wants to be naked and famous
Everybody wanna be just like me, I’m naked and famousWell, don’t get a nosebleed, don’t get upset
We can’t be naked and famous just yet
There’s a big gold dollar sign on the Sunset Strip
And you can send your friend a postcard, it ain’t worth the tripEverybody wants to be naked and famous
Everybody wanna be just like me I’m naked
Everybody wants to be naked and famous
Everybody wanna be just like me I’m naked
Everybody wants to be naked and famous
Everybody wanna be just like me I’m nakedWow wow yeah
Ah hoo hoo hoo
WhooEverybody wants to be naked and famous
Everybody wants to be just like me I’m naked and famousOctober 30, 2001 at 3:47 pm #67404Finally found the new Jim Reid band Freeheat, very JAMC but thats just fine with me

Some nofx
Orthopedic Dr. Martins good for
Waffle making, kickin’ through the shin
Reputation, gained through intimidation
Pacifism no longer tradition
Cause hey we’re the Brews
Sportin’ anti swastika tattoos
Oi Oi we’re the Brews
The fairfax ghetto boys skinhead hebrewsThe great thing about bein’ a human
The ability to reason
But reasoning don’t work when no one cares
2 parts apathy, one part despairWe wrote this song, it’s not too short, not too long
It’s got back-up voc’s in just the right places
It’s got a few oohs and ahhs
It takes a little pause
Just before I sing the anthem
Please play this song on the radio
Almost every line is sung on time
Almost every verse ends in a rhyme
The only problem we had was writing enough words
But that’s okay, because the chorus is
Coming up again now
Please play this song on the radio
Please play this song on the radio
Right about this time
Some shithead will be drawin a fat fucking line
Over the title on the back sleeve, what an asshole
So mr. DJ, i hope you already made your segway
Or the FCC is gonna take a shit right on your head
Can’t play this song on the radioAnd a little thing that’s been puzzling me, some lines from Linoleum:
Possessions never meant anything to me
I’m not crazy (Cause I got none)
Well that’s not true, I’ve got a bed and a guitar
And a dog named bob who pisses on my floor.same name as J’s dog isn’t it?
November 3, 2001 at 9:30 pm #67406I fought against the bottle/But I had to do it drunk
from ‘That don’t make it junk’ from the new Leonard Cohen album
November 8, 2001 at 10:52 am #67407Some White Stripes
Dead leaves and the dirty ground
when I know you’re not around.
Shiny tops and soda pops
when I hear your lips make a sound.plus a ton more, too tired to type in more right now. Just found out that Marky Ramone & The Speedkings are playing at SoWhat in Oslo on the 9th of dec -wonder what that’ll be like. Gotta go to find out!

November 10, 2001 at 1:58 am #674091)Gonna leave the pain behind
Gonna leave the fools in line
Gonna take the magic potion
Gettin’ in an old black car
Gonna take a ride so far
To the land of sun tan lotion
Gonna take it state by state
Til I hit the golden gate
Get my feet wet in the ocean…I’m still living in the dream we had,
For me it’s not over…2)Yeah I’m talkin’ bout gettin’ down
Take it easy – there’s no one around
Just a mirror and you and me–question–what is the "you" in this sentence? Girl or substance, or something else…
November 27, 2001 at 8:43 am #67410dEUS – Sick Sugar
Music – Trouvé/Janzoons/Vermeersch/Vervloesem
Words – Trouvé
Release(s): My sister = my clock (1-track mini-EP: (12:41)-(13:49))I remember well…
Me and Jane escaping for a four-day drive
Around a strange and fully constructed country
Playing them Jonathan Richman and Dinosaur Jr. tapes in the car
Drivin’ while smoking
Well, fucking in hotel rooms and beaches and forests
and houses of friends of hers I didn’t know that she had
Well, God I was a clown back then, guess I still am
I used to hear
I used to have a real big kick out of it, real
I’m wearing sunglasses while she was driving
And the days were like movies, until I fucked up the script
Because I became too much in love with her
and love turned me into sick sugar
I became too much involved
and love turned me into sick sugar
I became too much involved
and love turned me into sick sugar
I became too much, like sick sugarNovember 27, 2001 at 9:01 am #67411dEUS – Zea Intro Replica

November 28, 2001 at 11:50 am #67416Kurticus-Yo La Tengo`s lyrics in your first post,Pavement was in your second.
Guess you checked out some Pavement, you were asking about them before, the first 2 albums to me was my favs.
In YLT`s case I think that Electro A Pura is my fav, when I first bought it I was`nt that into it,YLT is`nt something everyone can get into at first but they really grow on you.One of my fav bands for sure.Georgia`s voice is beautiful,Ira`s voice sounds great with it,I usually like bands with male/female harmonies anyway.November 28, 2001 at 12:35 pm #67417It’s just an itch beneath the skin
I can’t get it out or seal it in
I can’t dislodge the need to scratch it
screaming from it’s root
it’s an echo inside my head
a need to say what can’t be said
it’s the nerve tattoo,such a bad rash
spiteful and divinebut thats OK
it doesn’t matter anyway
it’s still those with the least to say
that will be heard…ah,the elloquence of trash
the persuasiveness of cash
rings true like the whispered lies
of half-forgotten lullabyes;
designed to please ,
designed to soothe
designed to shift amillion units or two
designed to mean nothing at all
for anyonebut that’s OK
it doesn’t matter anyway
it’s still those with the least to say
that will be heard…it’s no misunderstanding
it’s all emptiness and words
I’d cut my veins to paint it as
beautifully meaningless-
picturesque and absurd
….it’s a masterpiece I heard.Salamiguy -loved the Yorba video!
