went to the Lard Zep show. If you have never seen J drumming you HAVE to see this. These guys were amazing. OK no, J and the guitarist were amazing. I was hanging out smoking a cigarrette before the show outside and J came up to me and we exchanged small-talk outside but I tried not to be such a "fan" because he seems to shy away from that sort of stuff but he was really cool, albeit laid back.

The show was amazing. J is a legendary drummer and he did Led Zep perfectly to the beat. It was a tremendous homage. Everyone seemed to be having a blast about 150 showed up and for this place it was pretty much full (it being a loung and all). And these guys rocked. The singer was ehhhh, a little unprepared but these guys were just having fun and I enjoyed every second of it. If you have a chance, please do not miss out. J is a tremendous drummer and really seems to enjoy himself. Weirdest thing was seeing him load up his Volvo at the end while some no named band next door were packing into their tour bus. Unreal.

Thanks for showing uo last night you guys. We had a lot of fun playing. Yes, it is true I was a bit under prepared, but we only pracitced once, and it was over a month ago. Tonight will be better I swear. And it will be recorded. I would just like to say in my defence, that we all messed up a bit. It’s just harder for the singer to hide it. But it sure was fun. Al the guys are great musicians. J is a joy to rock with, and Pete, Dave , and Tony are great too. What did you think of my wig?

… are you planning on making this recording available to the general public ?

unfortunately didn’t see your wig b/c boston’s a bit of a hike from london   … but if you have any photographic proof you could always add it to the freakscene photo album …

anyhow, it would be pretty cool if you could come over this side of the atlantic one time … are you planning any more shows or is this a one-off deal … and whose idea was it anyway ? was it something you had been planning for a long time now ?

Prolly just a one time thing. We’ll see. I don’t see any travel involved though. It was actually J’s idea. He loves Zeppelin especially John Bonham.

cool to hear the show yesterday was fun :):):) thanks for the review & comments, guys :D

being from Europe, I’d also love to see a show like that around here, but I understand that the travelling would be hard. …so a recording available somewhere to the public would be fantastic! :!:

all good wishes for the show tonight!

They played these but the order is messed up and I probably forgot:

                            Dazed and Confused
                            Communication Breakdown
                            D’yer Mak’r (highlight)
Over the Hills and Far Away
                            Black Dog
                            Immigrant Song
                            Misty Mountain Hop (awesome)
                            Rock N Roll
                            All of My Love
                            Dancing Days
                            The Ocean

there may have been two or three others but they were a little more obscure than I can recall.

They were really amazing. J’s drums were see-through orangy vintage drums just like Bonham’s he is really phenomenal. I may have been too harsh on the others. The players were great.
