Personally I’d say Hand It Over….surely the one I listen to just every x months or so. As usual some great songs, but in the whole let’s say it’s the one I LOVE [img]images/smiles/converted/tongue.gif[/img] the less…..

June 13, 2001 at 6:46 pm #57018yeah, there was a time, when I would have named HAND IT OVER as my least favourite album, but then there was that gig last December, where they played ALONE. I pulled that album out of the corner, and I’m listening to it almost every day since then and love it more every time I listen to it [img]images/smiles/converted/smile.gif[/img]

Not because of the tunes, just the scratch.

June 15, 2001 at 2:17 am #57021Without a sound is least favorite Dino jr album,I would`nt say it`s bad though.there`s not on Dinosaur/J song that I can`t stand.Once I was talking to a guy in a music store about Dinosaur jr and he told he hated green mind but loved where you been.When you look at the album sonicly green mind is more treblely or at least my copy was and where you been is more bassy,maybe that`s why the guy said this,does the way an album sound make a person not like it?I usually listen on headphones so I pick up on the production and overall sound.

March 23, 2002 at 11:27 am #57025Yeah, I don’t quite like this topic, cause I respect all the albums very much. There are moments on each record which appeals to me. And there are also some things that I don’t find that appealing…
All the albums appeal to different physotic layers in my mind. – but mostly this changes from day to day.There are moments I want to listen to Where you been, and there are moments when I don’t want to hear that album.
But my view on songs may change from day to day, due to different emotions in my mind.All and all, I would say when it comes to taste of music it’s obviously a subjective matter.

March 28, 2002 at 2:25 am #57027without a sound rules. it’s one of my favs. i had that cd in my backpack when we interviewed J, and he signed it on the back of the front cover. in the white of the dog face.
about the worst dino, i dont really fancy the last few tunes on you’re living all over me. you know, the ones that lou is singing. that tape recorder song. nah. and jesus loves me or whatever it is.

April 15, 2002 at 12:54 am #57030I have to concur with the last post, Without a Sound is one of my favorite albums for personal/sentimental reasons ( The album was released just before the start of my senior year at the University of Wisconsin, and as J so often does, encompassed the mood and emotion of that time in my life perfectly). I also think it is an album where J really took some chances and wrote according to what he was going through personally–even though it was in a style that he probably knew might alienate some of his fans more partial to his earlier material. A very emotional record from a fucking genius.
My least favorite is probably Hand it Over as well, though I love the song "Sure Not Over You"
