Hells Bells on the boxset front! The Wipers boxset was like a gift sent from heaven. Angels appeared and I saw visions of Greg Sage wearing nothing but a halo.
But Yeah Right, I definitely see what you mean about that endless search for the next holy grail of albums. I just wish I didn’t have to drive 2+ hours in every direction to do so.

They’ve on about 46,000 compilations. I just stumbled on this website which appears to have everything The Lemonheads have ever released. I am overcome with a sense of both excitement and regret.

I hear you (On both counts, Wipers FTW.) Every time I hit a big city I take hours rooting through record stores. It’s funny though, I didn’t get much in London last week, then I get back and head to the local record shop and find a Dino bootleg I’ve never heard of

Crazy world. You know what? I once found a Nirvana bootleg in a little hole in the wall bookstore in the middle of nowhere. That was a weird find.
Is it okay to mention Nirvana here? I can make it relevent to the topic by discussing when Evan Dando played drums at a Nirvana rehearsal back in…93? Or when he wore Kurt’s phlegm stained raincoat around camden town. I may be reaching here.
June 15, 2009 at 2:40 pm #13543446,000 compilations sound about accurate for Belly.I got most of their stuff anyway,it`s just scattered a bit.

Volcano Suns-Farced on vinyl
The Plugz-Electrify Me(old LA punk band) on vinyl
Poison Idea cd
Come cd
Ride cd
PJ Harvey-Dry on tape
two Hammerhead cd`s
Scarce-red ep
Neil Young-Decade on vinyl(3 records!)
Zoom-Helium Octipede(produced by Greg Sage!)June 16, 2009 at 7:28 am #135436Probably a good topic for a new thread
"Stuff you’ve found… in places"Decent Belly discog here. It has a lot of the compilation/soundtrack stuff.

"Evan Dando" wrote:"I’ve got nothing against Courtney, but her father told lies about me he said we were having a relationship. That never happened. We took one picture where we had Kurt’s ashes and his teddy bear. We were crying about Kurt’s death. We also pretended we were kissing in one picture. I left the film in the room by mistake and
somebody made many thousands of dollars off those pictures. The least they could do is send me the development fee back."June 16, 2009 at 9:07 am #135437"essgee09" wrote:Scarce-red epI actually picked up Deadsexy the other day and loved it!

Cool!
Deadsexy is`nt as consistent as Red(well,Red only has 6 songs)but there`s some goodies in there.Days Like This is one of my fave songs EVER!
They used to play here alot.Joyce jumps around like a maniac.Speaking of Belly,Chick Graning of Scarce almost married Tanya.Chick said the funniest thing about J once.He said he looks like the Mona Lisa
Joyce added ‘no,the moaning lisa’
June 16, 2009 at 3:52 pm #135439Oh that’s brilliantly funny!

I couldn’t find Red anywhere and then in a last ditch effort I went to ebay and Kablammo! there it was! So hopefully in a few days it’ll be here. Thanks for your ever astounding recommendations, SG!

There`s a couple of tunes repeated from Deadsexy:All Sideways and Days Like This but they`re different versions. They got into trouble with the label that released the 3 singles that make up the 6 songs on Red.When they signed to A and M they were sued.Took some time to get sorted out and what happened next?Chick had a brain hemmorage and spent the summer of 1995 in a coma.He had amnesia when he came out of it.He could`nt even remember the song lyrics of his own songs. This is like a soap opera! They finished Deadsexy but soon broke up.They`ve since reunited and have done a couple of ep`s by the look of it:
