Holy Fuckin Shit!!!! I’ve been checking the ATP site everyday to see if they would be announced, so after a great day looking at art galleries in London I come home to the best news ever.
That is gonna be the best weekend of my life, Dinosaur Jr, Sonic Youth, Melvins, Stooges…. i couldn’t have asked for more
and yeh the dvd is taking the piss and when i asked Lou about the album he just said he was really excited about it and they were just gonna see how it goes over summer

I was at the same sho!!!! It was a good one. But it won’t be on the dvd. They didnt have the film crew with them that time. Pity, tough. It was one hell of a show. I love the backdrop that the Avalon has. The starry look really hightened the experience for me. Beauitful.
Sonic: I remember thinking the same thing about that backdrop. It was nice.
I know that there are people who have lots of insider information who lurk around this forum from time to time. Tom, though I truly appreciate your attempt to drag the info about the dvd out of Lou, we need more concrete evidence that all of our patience will come to fruition! Someone please let us know when we can expect SOMETHING.
Maybe there won’t be a DVD and we are all just speculating for nothing. Wouldn’t that be a sick joke?
I am sure they are just waiting for the right time. I know the filmaker is working on a witch video for the song seer.

band re groups-gets on TWO great tours-re releases early albums to critical aclaim-media attention from a lot of the folks that dont even pay attention to bands-fan love-web love-"we are releasing a dvd in the early part of 06"-disapointment-outrage-dismissal…
dvd finally comes out long after even casual fans of the band are/were interested…
disapointing sales

sYeah, the timing seems off. If they were able to get it out within the next couple of months it’d at least get reviewed everywhere and create anticipation for the new album (plugs for which should, of course, be included in the promo material). Otherwise, except for a couple gigs that only hardcore fans are paying attention to, the band’s in a dormant period until they get the album out.
