Here’s the correct setlist from last nights show….
The Lung
Out There
This Is All I Came To Do
Feel The Pain
Little Fury Things
a new song with Lou singing
Freak Scene
In A Jar
Forget The Swan
The Wagon
Kracked
Sludgefeast
Raisans
Just Like Heaven
Chunksyet another awesome show !
December 6, 2006 at 7:41 pm #123695Lous new song is called Back To Your Heart. I think he outdid J by writing this one. At least I found it more interesting than This is all I came to Do, although I like the way J keeps adding guitar solos after each verse. The sound was a bid odd, in my opinion, the PA was clipping like crazy. Good show. Looking forward to tomorrows show.
December 6, 2006 at 7:42 pm #123696And Lous new bass looks pretty funky. Hey, Im a bit drunk, but its my birthday
December 7, 2006 at 3:50 am #123697WHAT a gig. My ears are killing me, but it was an absolutely classic Dinosaur Jr performance. The Wagon; Just Like Heaven; Feel The Pain; Out There – awesome. Kracked and Sludgefeast were simply god-like. I think This Is All I came To Do is an amazing song live, can’t wait to hear the studio version of it. Despite the ear problems today, last night confirmed why they are my favourite band of all time.
The fact that Lou opened with an amazing, beautiful acoustic set just made the evening even more special.
J; Lou; Murph – you astound me. Thank You.
December 7, 2006 at 7:30 am #123698hey sorry for sad sounding question, but, what time where Dino Jr on stage last night?
I gotta work late so need to time my arrival tonight to perfection!December 7, 2006 at 7:42 am #1236999.15 was time on running order
but they came on about 9.25
off stage 10.30ish.
Good hour + show.
Get there early to catch Lou’s set
December 7, 2006 at 7:57 am #123700hey thanks
will try and get there for both sets.
Why does it always happen that a deadline gets move to THE one day you really don’t want it.
Still good to have something to aim for.
Can’t wait
December 7, 2006 at 8:01 am #123701Yeah, and to add to that Lou came on at 8.15

And the doors opened at 7 …
Last night’s show was a real treat … I don’t know why, but I wasn’t very excited before I got there … which is kind of weird for me, but I’ve had so much other stuff going on over the past few months I haven’t had a chance to think about it beforehand other than show up on the night!

But it was really awesome … I know most people around here say that for every show, but it really was …
It started out pretty good, but about a third of the way thru they really kicked into a higher gear and I was just so psyched to hear a mix of old and new … and a mix of with/without Lou era … That was an awesome surpsrise … Does that mean that they checked out the results of our recent poll?

Our view was awesome – upstairs at the back … and I guess my only (half) regret is that we didn’t bring our camera … my husband took some footage on his phone, but the quality isn’t very good … it’s just a cool momento of the night – knd of like a moving impressionist painting or something …
And Lou opening up was cool … He seemed very nervous and he kept saying things like ‘This is just about as difficult as I had imagined it to be!’
But he did a really good job… it’s just that loads of people were chatting away during his set, which must be distracting and a little bit disappointing for him … But he did go on to say he couldn’t wait to drown out our voices during Dinosaur’s set
… And he also said it was the first time he had ever opened for Dinosaur as well!
December 7, 2006 at 8:12 am #123702Umm … I’m trying to think what else happened …
Some guy ran up to J between the stage and the front barrier and said something to J … I think J have him a pick before security dragged him away …
Other than that … I was looking out for Bobby G, Mani, Kevin Shields etc who we’ve spotted at Dinosaur shows in the past … There were no Primals (that we saw), but Luisa was there … on stage, smoking roll-ups
and Kevin Shields was there with some friends as well …Anyhow … If last night is anywhere near as good as tonight, you guys are in for a really good time …
I would be there, but my husband + I already have tix to see DKT/MC5 @ the Underworld in Camden … awesome …
** the only disppointment of the night was the J, Lou, Murph t-shirt I bought for my husband … When we got it home I noticed it had a hole in it … :-

Bummer! And I’m not sure of any easy was to get a new one/exchange it b/c I don’t have tix for tonight … any ideas anyone?
December 7, 2006 at 8:16 am #123703Oh yeah … and I’m just looking at the set list … and The Wagon kicked butt … I love that song …

That is cool he played Skull. Does anyone have Lou and Dino’s set recorded?
December 7, 2006 at 6:13 pm #123708Hi Anthony. I got the Dino set taped and it’s sounding pretty good so far. I probably won’t have it ready to send to you until early next week however. I know Trensidoh was intending to tape as well. I was gonna tape Lou’s set but didn’t because (a) It had already started when I got there and (b) it would have sounded terrible, Lou was just about inaudible, there was just too much audience chatter.
