Good to see so much Beyond material, though I really wish they’d drop Bulbs of Passion, Forget the Swan, Little Fury Things, and Freak Scene (I know, I know, they’ll *never* drop Freak Scene). If they’ve got to limit the older material now that they’ve got a new album, there are plenty of other songs they should keep in regular rotation (Raisans, No Bones, Tarpit, Yeah We Know, Lose would have me smiling for days). But whatever — it’s still always killer to see them, even if I can’t have the setlist tailored to my tastes.

as for merch, unfortunately no "live in the middle east". i really wanted to buy it last night. i did however get a t-shirt with the "beyond" cover on the front. they also had the monster boy shirt, a new tour shirt with the dinosaur cover on front and tour dates on the back, as well as a variety of cow shirts and the dino jr sweatshirt. not to mention cd’s and such.

the set was really good and loud. the vocals were hard to hear…but due to dinosaur’s volume i find it to usually be the case. i thought it was a good setlist. half new and half old. the new songs were a bit unpolished since i don’t think they had practiced them all too much live. to me the highlight was "feel te pain". it was spot on last night and it sounds awesome with lou and murph playing on it.

i’d definitely reccomend checking out this tour. with encore they played for 80 minutes. not bad.

Yeah, I have had that problem before and once I took my husband with me to see J and Fog and I was screaming into his ear, "I cant hear J sing"………..suddenly he grabbed my hand and took me way to the back of the room and then said "Hows that better right?"……….."Yeah, I said but now I cant see him play"……………………I dragged him back up front…………….."Women" he said, with a shake of his head. :D

A funny story about the first night: Someone asked me what I thought of the show and I said that the sound was quite muddy from where I was standing. His friend then said "yeah, I wanted to hear J.’s vocals. That’s what makes this band what it is–must be a girl thing…" I totally agree. I don’t think half of everyone there would have minded whether there were decipherable vocals or not…" Maybe girls like more ear sex… I don’t know.

I’ve only ever heard girls profess love for J’s vocals. Guys always remark what a great guitar player he is, but that they can’t bear his singing.
