I was wondering if anyone else was a fan of the show. If anyone is we should start talking about theories, and all that jazz.

January 31, 2006 at 12:42 pm #114552Also the only show I make a point of catching every week.
January 31, 2006 at 3:22 pm #114553I’m a new fan I’ve wanted to watch it from the start but I work late so I was never able to catch it. So i bought Season 1 and downloaded season 2, I’m hooked I’m a lost Junkie now.
What the hell do you guys think the monster is.
I kind of think its like bunch of metal particles that are controlled by the electromagnetic station in the hatch
and I just found this picture online it appears the monster might of taken down the plane

February 1, 2006 at 7:53 am #114554I think you’re pretty close. I’ve heard it rumored that it’s nano-technology, basically a bunch of little robots that float around together and can take on various forms. I haven’t gotten into discussing the mythology online or anything but my roommate checks out chats a lot and stuff so I hear some of the more popular rumors from him.
Funny, I got turned on to the show about the same way you did. My roommate bought the first season on DVD two weeks before the second season started. I watched the entire first season in a week and a half to prepare. I’ve never been drawn into a show so easily before.
February 1, 2006 at 12:56 pm #114555The Nanobots theory has just been denied by the shows creators. I found that out from wikipedia.
Something really weird about the monster is when Eko stared it down the monster replied images from his past inside the smoke

I am going to try to post some more here – job is kicking my ass at the moment….
February 9, 2006 at 12:15 am #114558What an episode tonight, Charlie has really gone to the dark side. I think this all maybe a long con from Locke though. everyone knows Sawyer can’t be trusted even Locke, but some people on the Island trust Locke, which makes him more dangerous.
February 9, 2006 at 7:31 am #114559I thought last night’s episode was very poor. We know Sawyer can’t be trusted but he was trying to redeem himself (going after Mike’s son at the end of last season, for example). This episode seemed like a huge diversion and it cancels out the developments made by Sawyer to this point. Also Charlie dragging Sun off to embarrass Locke seems like a stretch to me. If he was using again, maybe, but to do that as some part of an elaborate plan to humiliate Locke seems like a weak explaination.
I don’t know, I hope they somehow get back to the main point or go somewhere really interesting with all of this but I have to say this episode seemed like it was put together poorly. Maybe they’ll develop things to a point that this makes more sense but right now I have to say it’s one of the weaker episodes they’ve done.
February 9, 2006 at 8:33 am #114560Call me hopelessly addicted too… They are starting to cheese me off with all the dragging on going on. Get on with it already!
February 9, 2006 at 9:41 am #114561Well next week we should have some answers, I gather from the previews no one presses the button and we find out what happens, also a other is captured alive. So we may finally be getting some of the answers we were looking for.
February 9, 2006 at 11:09 am #114562They do imply in the preview that next week will be pretty good. The previews are usually deceiving though so what it looks like is going to happen and what actually happens can be very different. We’ll only know for sure next week!
February 9, 2006 at 12:48 pm #114563I just pray to God they don’t end the show when the ticker hits 0, and make us wait another week to find out what happens. I spoiled myself too much by watching the DVD of the first season, Nothing was better than to go on and find out what happens, and it makes every episode good too, because they all tie in, and you can see whats going on.
