Good luck with that!
May 18, 2006 at 2:18 pm #114596Thanks!
It is very depressing. The tendon from my left ring finger is completely detached and I can’t bend it at all. It was misdiagnosed as a sprain for over a month so now the damage is irreversable. Probably won’t have full motion again so I don’t count on playing guitar again and typing is ROUGH.here’s to severed tips!

Severed tips…gotta love a sense of humor! A bass player friend of mine, while doing yardwork with power tools, cut off the tips of a couple of his fingers. With surgery & tons of physio is back playing today.
Everyone here will be sending positive thoughts your way tomorrow, hope it all goes well!!!

If he can recover from losing tips, I should be ok. Thanks for that!

January 18, 2007 at 2:36 pm #114601Due to
a) work
b) being norwegianI’m not sure if season 3 has started yet. Has it ?
And if it has, is it worth watching ? I liked the first season, and I liked how they said that it would be only one, or two seasons at the most. But then I guess money got in their eye, and they started talking about making 7 or whatever seasons. And the quality dropped like a stone. It was still watchworthy though. So, I guess what I’m saying is that I think they pretty much ruined it, but that I’d still like to find out what the hell the island and all that jazz is all about.January 19, 2007 at 12:14 pm #114602Ha, I get to answer my own question !
Well Robert, your fears were partly justified. They’re still doing the sequences were we look back in time to "get to know the characters better," sadly they aren’t really telling anything that justifies leaving the main story(the people on the island(s).) They want us to get the feeling that we get to know the characters better, but we don’t -we learn nothing new, so my conclusion is that they’re either buying time, using them as fillers because they’ve got nothing better. Or even worse, that they actually think it’s good tv. Either way, it shows nothing new and is just annoying.Parts of the episodes are quite good though, sadly the parts that gives the story momentum are too often interrupted by the already commented flashbacks. If they’d dropped the flashbacks, apart from in episode 6 -where it actually is a vital part to the story of Ecko, the episodes would’ve gotten much better -but also 10 minutes or more shorter, and I suspect this is why they’re left in there.
Also, a pacemaker that is set to malfunction at 140bpm, overriding the heart signals ? Blah !
With this in mind, sure -you’ll be mildly entertained if you watch, and there are moments when you’ll be smiling and saying yes yes yes, but sadly they are too far apart.
January 25, 2007 at 12:38 pm #114603I loved the first season. So much so that if you wanted to come over on wednesday nights you could only talk to me during commercials. But I’ve completely stopped watching it now. I just lost interest…and that says a lot seeing how I only get one channel.

February 24, 2010 at 10:20 am #114609Anyone else still watching?
It’s still got me hooked!
Seems to be heading back to where we started really, hopefully making things a bit clearer along the way in this final series…
