The Lung tab w/ solo and lyrics link is under the Your Living All Over me album…
I think "breeze" should be "breathes" but all of J’s lyrics are open to interpretation
February 29, 2004 at 8:23 pm #99646wow im an idiot i just saw that. thanks. i forgot the "the"
March 1, 2004 at 8:25 am #99647Its breeds
March 1, 2004 at 9:19 am #99648"no way to collapse the lung. breathes a doubt in everyone"
say that a couple times, and there you have the lyrics.
March 1, 2004 at 9:50 am #99649See I think its breeds the doubt in everyone, might be breathes
March 1, 2004 at 11:53 am #99650i still kind of think it is "breathes without it everyone" for a couple parts.
March 1, 2004 at 1:33 pm #99651well "lung" & "breathes" would make sense

… to my non-native-english ears, breathes, breeds and breeze all sound quite similar, so I can’t decide
we can make a poll out of it :aliensmile:March 2, 2004 at 10:20 am #99652i always thought it was breeds, but i suppose breathes makes more sense … hmmmm …
March 2, 2004 at 5:46 pm #99653I say "breathes" and here’s why…
No way to collapse the lung…breathes a doubt in everyone…
If the lung could be collapsed, it would quit "breathing", and thus you eliminate the doubt…
Unfortunatley, there’s no way to collapse the lung, thus it keeps filling [the room, the person, the mind, everyone, whatever] with doubt…
So, one must collapse the lung to prevent it from breathing doubt into everyone
"Breeds" makes very good sense as well, because what we are really talking about is the existance/attaining/creating of doubt. However, what does a lung do? It breathes. So I think "breathes" makes more sense.
If we were talking about "doubt" being "created" or "multiplying" in some sort of sexual or reproductive sense (as if more and more doubt was growing or multiplying upon itself, or in some way getting larger), then I think "breeds" would be better.
However we’re only talking about the existance or presence of the doubt, so I still think "breathes" is better.
Make sense

It was a highly entertaining to read your deduction kurticus, though I would have to go with breeds, because that’s what I hear, and I also think it makes more sense. I simply don’t understand how you can breath a doubt in anyone or everyone for that matter, but breed doubt you can definetely do. Especially if there’s no way to collapse the lung.March 3, 2004 at 12:01 pm #99657"K7" wrote:I say "breathes" and here’s why…No way to collapse the lung…breathes a doubt in everyone…

Maybe it`s just a anti smoking song
March 3, 2004 at 12:20 pm #99658but if it is "no way to collapse the lung" versus "no where to collapse the lung", the later part can be a total different meaning.
