I can’t begin to describe how disapointed I am right now. For years and years and years I’ve been living in bliss thinking that Malkmus sings "lost in the fun hills with my bike," in Unfair(crooked rain, crooked rain.) But as I was listening to the song today I realised that he sings "lost in the foothills of Mount Pine." I am utterly disappointed. Mount Pine?!? Wtf, how can being lost in the foothills of Mount Pine compare to being lost in fun hills with a bike ?

Don’t be silly – that would be blasphemy.

I used to think that at the start of Midnight Cruiser by Steely Dan they said "Thelonious my old friend" then I find out it`s "Felonious my old friend".Thelonious would`ve been better since Donald and Walter from Steely Dan are jazz fans :)

:) didn’t we have this great thread some years back were people posted stories about "hearing the wrong lyrics" or people singing the wrong lyrics?
Such as slow walking walter, the fire engine guy. As opposed to smoke on the water, fire in the sky.

I thought the same thing. I don’t sing that song much anymore, though, so I don’t know I’d still sing it that way or not…
