J seems to tour europe everytime he realeses a new album.. So I guess we´ll have to wait for quite a while. But I guess you can live a long time on the beloving memories of last concert.

I am so happy I made this decesion
THANK U J FOR THAT BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE

January 2, 2003 at 1:17 pm #84256Does anyone know who’s comprising the Fog this time around? I assume George is drumming, but who’s playing bass? It’s been awfully quiet around here given that J is touring with a full band for the first time in almost two years!!!!
January 2, 2003 at 1:51 pm #84257Yeah, I have no idea King Tubby (welcome to the board, btw). I figured someone would know something or at least pretend to care but apparently not.
I assume Watt is on bass unless we hear otherwise, just for lack of newer information.
January 2, 2003 at 5:28 pm #84258Although I’m not talking every day about it, I am anxius to hear more details about the upcoming Fog gigs, even though there are no European dates announced…. I’m really hoping that there will be some more dates added

After J’s brilliant acoustic gigs, it’s just great to hear that he will be touring with an electric band again – hopefully once more with George & Watt – I just think, we’ll get this information as soon as possible
& of course: welcome here, King Tubby
January 2, 2003 at 6:59 pm #84259I wasn’t referencing anyone in particular FC, it’s just usually Jeremiah and the gang know stuff before it’s released and it seems like stuff like "who’s in the band" and "when are they playing" that we’re used to hearing from them without any effort by us now has us all dumbfounded.
Ignorance has hit us all and we are all crawling through the muck!!! Or something…
January 2, 2003 at 8:14 pm #84260has us all dumbfounded…

When we get some information we will definitely put it out, for now it seems George is playing drums, I am also assuming that Watt will be playing but nothing definite yet. I’m hoping it’s more than just an east/west cost tour…something central would be cool
I think everyones excited about J touring with a Band, he just finished a wicked stretch of solo shows that got a lot of attention around here though. Not many do solo acoustic shows as sonically as J
I’d say it was awfully quiet around here recently due to the holidays. We have lots of tour info on J’s recent acoustic tour, some great fan pics from shows in the new album feature Jeremiah put up, hopefully a german show for all to listen to soon, lots of live audio/video links available from the acoustic tour, including that great BBC interview with J, the John Peel link to the couple wicked live songs J did, great articles on the release of Free So Free. Best of all tons of very cool fan reviews of J’s shows thru this last leg of his acoustic tour, along with Tribute To The Stooges show reviews, & some amazing pics of a Tribute To The Stooges show by one of freakscenes fav photographers
…so it hasn’t been all that quiet

January 7, 2003 at 11:05 am #84264The Fog 2003:
Mike Watt posted this on the MW mailing list:
j told me matt hunter is on bass and george berz on drums.
January 7, 2003 at 11:14 am #84265Cool. Hunter’s a good bassist and has been a fixture in the Northampton music scene for years. Should be a comfortable match for J and George.
January 7, 2003 at 11:39 am #84266Watt prolly wanted to big a precentage of the $$$.
Or some other reasonable explination.
