hi!
on my you’re living all over me lp there’s a message written on the inner circle of the lp.
on the first side it says ‘this is my party to you’ and on the other side it’s written ‘it was screaming but I couldn’t tell where the mouth was’.
messages like this are also to be found on depeche mode’s first pressings from the eighties.

Some early Pavement singles has "All rights reserved, all wrongs reversed," printed on them. Instead of the usual copying, lending… prohibited stuff.

Robert-all Matador releases have that written on it.

I remembered that about 30 secs ago, come to think about it, the last place I saw it was on one of the Matador compilations. F*K, nothing has gone my way the last couple of days -been reading things wrong here at the ‘scene and I’m walking around in a blurry mist. Gotta get some fruit and vegetables to clear my mind. And once again you prove your standard in everything matador related. Hats off!

can’t wait to see what the secret message is on the new dino vinyl. :-X

I have a theory that the new album will be followed by a dvd release.
wonder if they plan more touring to support the album, seems like they have toured non stop for so long. So they probably will wait a few months into year 07 to rest before again tour for a long time. I feel sorry for them :P, if J wants to wait a half year before touring again, I’m sure people understand that, and will gladly wait another half hear or more for album and dvd.

I think what is holding the album back though , is fighting about what the secret vinyl message will be.

Damont are a vinyl manufacturer.
Run out groove messages are etched onto the lacquers when they are made/cut.
Usually by whoever is doing the cut.
The lacquers are what vinyl is pressed from.

Yes the number you have on your copy of the vinyl will be on all the copies that used that particular lacquer – which unless the vinyl is re-cut (which almost never happens) will be all of them.

Sources claim that the message will be ‘What Would Tony DO ?’

the albumscovers have some secrets in them too. I have seen faces or was it a little man on the Dinosaur – dinosaur album cover.

I’m not talking about the man everyone can see. duh

On the run-off grooves on the Butthole Surfers "Hairway To Steven" LP it reads:

Hey hee pee, suck my pee pee.
