Fucking loud. Really fucking loud. Was an awesome show, but no where near as good as 97′ Dino tour or Fog (Watt) tour. Sound was to sludgy.
Lou and Murph looked so pumped to be there and playing Dino. J’s guitar just killed it all, it drowned out the other two. Seems like they could put on an awesome show and be such a tight unit should it not so much be the ‘J Mascis Show’, and make the new Dino2006 more focused on the 3 guys.
But still not to bad. Like I said, other past shows, much better.

I CANT HEAR SHIT, OH FUCK, worst mistake of my life being in the front row in front of J with no earplugs, I’m so fucked, and I’m going back tomorrow :-

Pity… the sound in Perth was just right, and I certainly didn’t get any sense of it feeling like "The J. Show"…

I just got back from the second Sydney show, even if my ears were still a bit fucked, but I sat up the back and had earplugs this time, and the show was so good. 100 times better than the night before.

justinjd79 where were you situated exactly? because you said it sounded sludgy and that j’s guitar drowned out the other two, which I thought was the case too, but if you were anywhere like I was being right in front of him, I think thats just what you get, anywhere else I think it would have sounded fine, the show tonight was so good.

Also they didnt play Quest, No Bones, Just Like Heaven, Kracked, Tarpit or Mountain Man.
Instead they played, Budge, Does It Float, The Post, Repulsion, and Chunks at the end .

We were standing behind the sound desk, on the row above. I guess I was prob 20m (?) from the cock n balls of J’s stacks, so yeah you might have a point there. But I was in the same spot for Dino in 97′ and Fog in 2001 and sounded like better mix.

Hmm, okay, well I thought from there it may have sounded okay, I guess maybe they made some changes to how it sounded for the second night, cause to me the second night was fine in relation to the levels and sound of his guitar.

It was cool because I thought the stand out and best songs were the ones they played off Dinosaur. Forget The Swan, Gargoyle etc. I never listened to that album really until after the other night.
