Mattman
Any chance of some single somethingorother midi files for my phone.
purleeeeeeeeeeze?
I’ll send you 10p to make it worth your while (10p = circa 25 pesetas)
July 20, 2001 at 10:10 pm #56628The term your thinking of is ‘polyphony’ meaning multiple sounds… What you want is a ‘monophonic’ file that only plays one note at a time…
Explanations aside. I don’t really want to go and convert all of my files to a single track, and to be honest, some of them wouldn’t sound right anyway. However, if there is 1 or 2 you want, let me know and I’ll see what I can do…
July 20, 2001 at 10:16 pm #56629Just went back and read some of the earlier posts… ‘Keeblin’ and ‘Going Home’ should work well. ‘Outthere’ and ‘I Know Yer Insane’ would probably do alright as well…
I’m assuming you’d only want small clips of the songs… Lemme know…
July 21, 2001 at 6:04 am #56630Hey Matt "the Midi" Man,

Goin Home would be sweet and fairly easy for you as well. I had Live for that Look and Water which I programmed in before, but would appreciate a new ‘un.
PS thanks for the latin lesson. Like it didn’t suck at school
Cheers

July 23, 2001 at 1:53 pm #56632Goin Home will be really easy because the songs opening is the single guitar. I can just cut out that, maybe loop it once or twice, something like that. Let me know how long you want it, just a clip, the whole song, something else….
By the way, that’s about all the latin I know…
July 24, 2001 at 2:26 am #56633I guess just the first line in a loop if you can do that.
Good show old bean.
Cheers
Ben
July 24, 2001 at 2:38 am #56634I went ahead and made a couple of prototypes…
Also did Keeblin for the hell of it…
I can’t set them to loop on there own. You’ll have to see if your phone will do that for you. I can make them longer though if you want…
Tell me what you think so far…
July 24, 2001 at 9:31 am #56635Thanks a million.
See, I knew you’d be nice if unlike our Ozzie buddy Trav, I kept my opinions of your hot sister to myself!
Cheers again.

July 24, 2001 at 1:10 pm #56636No problem. Let me know if they work with that service you’re using. I’m curious to know…

July 25, 2001 at 2:26 am #56639Problems are afoot.
After rtfm (reading the fucking manual) I noticed that the sound files have to be less than 50 notes. Now Keeblin is less, but still don’t work.
How’s about having a look at the site for me???
http://www.iobox.com – go to entertainment, ringtones, ringtone convertorthese are the only instructions on the site
Record your tune in a single channel MIDI file. Maximum length: 50 notes.
2.
Give the Nokia ring tone a name:3.
Select the file with the help of the "Browse" button so that it’s name appears in the field below. Then click the "Upload"
button. Thereafter, you can then download the item from the My Fun page. Many thanks, Matt.

July 26, 2001 at 2:45 am #56641OK, let’s try again…
It’s 33 notes, w/ no overlapping notes. One track. It should work… I haven’t been able to check out the utility on the web page because they want me to sign up for an account, which I don’t really want to do.
If Goin Home doesn’t work, give me a listing of any error messages it gives you.
