Does anyone know what’s going on with Mike Johnson these days and why he’s not on the new record or tour?

Mike plays in Caustic Resin (who supported the Fog on one of the recent US dates) and is also working on the follow up to his 3rd solo album "I Feel Alright". The following site is pretty cool http://www.onewhiskey.com/mikejohnson/

Mike also works a lot with Mark Lanegan (he played on the last album "I’ll Take Care Of You") so he may well be working with him.

Mike was supposed to tour here a couple of months back (Sydney, Australia) with Mark Lanegan ( also Ben Shephard and Bill Rieflin)
but the tour was canned due to Mark not being let into he country with passport (drugs?) problems. Thats all ive heard. Woulda been a bitchin’ gig to….dam……But the best news is APPARENTLY J is coming back here in March.
Fortunate enough to see Dino twice in 97′ and his acoustic gig in April last year, got to hang with the man to. Great guy.

Which Chat session? The only one I saw was from ’95 and J let the band go a couple years later.
