(this says Mike Watt is only playing for two weeks of the tour!!)

      from pitchforkmedia.com:

J Mascis & the Fog Bring Mike Watt on Tour
Propensity Towards ‘Green Mind’ May Have Led to Band’s Name

      Dany Sloan reports:
J Mascis, ex-frontman of the mega-influential Boston band Dinosaur Jr, is planning to mount a tour this fall with his latest project, J Mascis & the Fog. The shows will kick off with a solo date at the CMJ Festival in New York on October 22nd. From there, the Fog will embark on several dates, with ex-Minutemen and fIREHOSE bassist Mike Watt joining the band as touring stand-in for a brief two-week stint from November 27th to December 10th as winter closes in. Watt will also perform with the Fog at a Los Angeles date on November 17th.
J Mascis & the Fog’s debut album, More Light, will be released October 24th through Ultimatum Music. According to the label, the record will contain 11 new songs of entirely electric music "in the spirit of Dinosaur Jr." The record was produced by Mascis and My Bloody Valentine recluse Kevin Shields, who also performed on five of the record’s songs. Guided by Voices’ Robert Pollard also contributed back-up vocals on a few numbers. The first single, "Where’d You Go" (not to be confused with a very similarly titled 1993 Dinosaur Jr LP), can currently be heard on college radio stations across the country.

            hi all,

I’m w/j nov 23 through almost xmas. one month in the u.s. and
one month in europe. I think we’ll be a test run at the winooski gig.
pretty scary but I’m really into playing w/j. I dig these pliers too,
we’ll make up lost gigs in the spring w/another tour.

Here are his tour dates : http://www.wattage.com/Contemplate/tour.html

All shows except the CMJ show in New York are scheduled to be with a band.

I don’t know if this is on Pitchfork or not, but Mike Watt is playing in Jacksonville, Florida at a small venue on October 20, right before he joins up with J. The club is called Jack Rabbits and it is a pretty cool place to see a band (though small).
