im sure the last song was chunks,

Which pretty much sums up how the show sounded — as in blowing chunks. Man, the Rave was HORRIBLE. You could barely hear Lou’s bass and forget about hearing the snare drum or cymbals. That place is a barn — boxy construction, hard floors, (concrete?) beams in the ceiling to support the upstairs ballroom. It was all a muddy pile of shit. Ugh.

And the stage was so dark you could barely even see Murph.

Yeah, I think there were lots of people there from Chicago who made the trip so it’s a bummer that the sound & lighting was so bad. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure most people totally dug it and it had nothing to do w/ the band whatsoever, but it could have been waaaaay better.

For what they had to work with, dino kicked out an awesome set. Audio is up now on freesofree.net . I think this show sounds great. The banter is good as well. Also, this drunk guy yells at J halfway through the set to play raisans. You can’t hear him yell, but you can hear J tell him "we already played raisans." They played it just a few songs earlier. Good show. Good recording (in my opinion).
