I don’t know if this has been covered before, But what elements make a mix tape into a GOOD mix tape. Simply put, I have never made a mix I can listen too front to back without skipping some track somewhere.

      Any advice out there?

The secret behind the PERFECT mix:

          Weezer. Pavement.

Simply make a tape of all you favourite =w= songs, no skipping guaranteed!
          Same goes for Pavement.

I think yeaah your favourite songs, aand you need a mix of sounds, not all fast or slow and a good combination of happy / sad etc etc as long as each song brings you something a little differnet ( and of course you lonk the songs ) then i think you’ve got a good mix tape.

Okay, well, I’ve got a fresh box of verbatim’s here, and a lot of drives to test this out.

But there still’s got to be more to it than this, I’m still reading, keep writing

start off with a really awesome song. then kick it a notch higher. then you have to bring it down a bit, you don’t want to blow your load all at once. or at least that’s what high fidelity tells me.

seriously, i like to have mine go in waves, kinda. start fast, go a bit midtempo, bring it down with a slow one and the shatter it all with a homerun fast song. something like that. i hardly ever do "concept" mixes, except for the "songs to kick mojo jojo’s but by" which was all songs sung by girls. never did post that one…
