Hey,

Found a interview with Watt where he talks about his experience with Hellride East following his illness. Some good pics of J and Watt, good interview with Watt as well. Quite the pic of Watt by Lee Renaldo…now thats facial hair..

Firehose once did a arena tour with REM,Watt said the acoustics problem was a headache.
REM used to cover Minutemen songs in their early days.

Hey Tony,

That description of his illness is pretty horrifying to say the least Most detailed account I have seen as well, lucky guy to make it thru that whole deal…pre/ post surgery and everything in between.

Gotta love his description of playing with J…intense

Allison-thanks for the link,cool interview.
I found D Boon learning American Woman interesting, the Guess Who being Canadian(and from your neck of the woods, any Cummings or Bachman sightings in your life to report?)
What`s this about Mould writing wrestling scripts?(I can see it now-"your gonna feel that 59 times the pain!).

Hey SG,

Not a big fan of the guess who, people have actually gone mad here about them. Last year they had this huge concert about two blocks away from me Definitely not my kinda noise.

Bob did write for the WCW for awhile, Husker Du were huge fans of early AWA wrestling…when it was more cartoonish than the nasty stuff they put out now. Grant Harts fav was The Crusher..gotta love that. Bob did an interview awhile back online for a wrestling site, think the link is up on his site somewhere…I didn’t bother with it though just not my thing.

I`m not into the Guess Who either, just thought it was interesting that someone in Cali would learn a guitar solo by a Canadian band,of course Neil had a big impact in the US as well.
I`m not a wrestling fan either, weird that Husker was into it ,but we all have our own individual interests.

you know, I had never heard of Mike Watt before he started jammin with J (that and since I found this site) and after reading about all he has contributed to the modern world of music I so dearly love, it makes me sad to see just how much I really don’t know about. Keep those great tid-bits and links coming!
From a stupid farm boy who is evidently very unaware of his favorite music’s history…
