hey rambleon, thanks a lot for typing out these great long lists!!!

Some days back, I started with downloading records like Never Mind The Bollocks, here’s the Sex Pistopls and some Ramones (I actually have some of them as vinyls, but vinyl isn’t handy for running
)
I agree that many of these records are good for running, or whatever exercise or jumping arund. But I couldn’t ever do that to "Fire of Love" by the Gun Club, which is also in one of the above lists. it’s one of my favouritest records ever, but the rhythm of the songs is too unsteady, even in the mighty punk hymn, Sex Beat.I tried X-Ray-Spex – Germ Free Adolescents today, and it works excellently

i guess some of those recommendations were more meant for the warm up or cool down ??
October 24, 2004 at 11:46 am #102351I’m still running outside, although the weather is getting rougher. meanwhile I’m not feeling that much like a lame duck anymore, other than when I started

my current song collection for running (I change the songs very often, though)
Modest Mouse – Float On
Modest Mouse – Convenient Parking
Sleater-Kinney – I Wanna Be Your Joey Ramone
Sex Pistols – Holidays in the Sun
The Seeds – Pushin’ Too Hard
the Fall – I Feel Voxish
the Fall – Victoria
the Fall – Mr Pharmacist (jogging to the Fall, I guess M.E.Smith hates the thought
)
Dinosaur Jr – Feel The Pain
16 Horsepower – Black Soul Choir
Ramones – Do You Wanna Dance …
Sonic Youth – Kissability (aah, Kim Gordon is sooo cool!)
the Thermals – It’s Trivia
Soulwax – E-Talking
Hanin Elias – Falling
Talking Heads – Road To Nowherethat’s enough for a good round through the park

October 24, 2004 at 2:13 pm #102353you are a nice girl FC, and therefor my concern is growing. I really hope you’ll find a better way to listen to music, rather than running around in the streets of hamburg.
October 24, 2004 at 2:47 pm #102354I tell you, it’s one of the nicest ways to listen to a collection of my most favouritest songs. a good title for that mix would be "runner’s high"
:aliensmile:October 24, 2004 at 3:02 pm #102355nicer than sitting in a good chair, relaxing and listening to the same songs?
October 24, 2004 at 4:14 pm #102356a good chair is also an option, but this collection is reality-proven to be good for running: great tunes in mid-tempo with a steady beat and full of energy. that’s what I’m looking for when I look for running songs

….the middle part probably makes you do a short sprint….

hehe, that’s exactly what I use to think, when it comes to that part of the song… but I usually keep my pace
