            Volcano, I’m Still Excited!! [self titled, 2004] …nice & tuneful keyboard based indie pop

            The Stills – Logic Will Break Your Heart [2003] very cool guitar Britpop (…although they’re from the Canada)

            The Faint – Wet From Birth [2004] ..kind of Indie Rock, but with strings and keyboards and with some sort of hip-hop & electronic influences, at least in the rhythm part, not at the singing. weird and cool…

            I’m listening to these albums because the bands will play here in town this month & I’m about to decide if I’ll go there, but it seems it’s a yes for all three of them :)

                      Laura Nyro – the first songs [1967]
                      never heard of her before, although reading through the AMG bio she must have been quite well known in her time.
                      a guy on soulseek recommended her music warmly to me, someone who appreciates Nikki Sudden/Epic Soundtracks, Dinosaur Jr and Billy MacKenzie at the same time :shock: :D …so I’m willing to take recommendations from him seriously! :!:
