October 11, 2004 at 5:27 pm #105370Quote:I’m in the furniture trade
Got a new job today
But stick the cretin
On the number-three latheWent down the town
To a HM club
The sign had a cross
Through a couple well-dressed
They looked at my coat
They looked at my hair
An Easy Rider coot
Grabbed the edge of my coat
Said: ‘You’re too smart for here’
I said: ‘I’ll see the manager’
…ahhh, I love that song

):Where the hookers and thieves and the junkies play
It’s a circus round here for sure
And I worry about how I’m fitting in
If I only had her
And I know my friends they worry about me
I can see it written on their face
But despite anything I might have said before,
October 17, 2004 at 1:44 pm #105378Hey Bucky,
It makes me think of the old days that we saw Ryan Adams singing in Paradiso about bars that are beautiful places…."And they are not showing any lights tonite, and there is no moon. There is just a hot blood singer, singing "memphis in june" While they are beating the devil out of a guy, who is wearing a powder blue wig. Later he’ll be shot for resisting arrest…."
October 17, 2004 at 2:45 pm #105379Hey Hansione, my first guess was Bob Dylan, and some cheating (googling
, sorry….) learned that it was "Tight Connection to My Heart (Has Anybody Seen My Love?)", never heard that song, don’t even know if I ever heard a song from that album, "Empire Burlesque"

______________________________________________________Now an easy, classic one:
Won’t you tell your dad, "Get off my back"
Tell him what we said ’bout "Paint It Black"
Rock ‘n Roll is here to stay

I`m greedy like Senior Babbitt
I`m just chasing that electric rabbit
I`m a reluctant rebel
I just want to be Aaron Neville -
