I got the Premium LP Bundle and the Tshirt “Loser” Bundle from Subpop just so that I don’t regret it later: )
Yep, I got both too ! I really want that mug 🙂 – easily pleased.
(@SimonM) I was thinking in theory you would pay duty (tax) on the premium bundle. So that might be a reason to use rock steady !?? I’m not sure though, I think they put gift when I got IBOS bundle.
I had to pay duty and handling fees when I got the heavy blanket lps. It was more than the lps and shipping.@empire2 I’m a bit worried now re the customs. I bought a T-shirt previously (in 2011) from Sub-Pop Mega Mart and didn’t have a problem with that, but it may have been because the cost was less than a threshold…
@simonM – I have always got everything from America(dinosaur jr/mascis – the IBOS bundle was fine)
and never have been extra in customs.
Thats why I just did the same.Apart from those heavy blanket lps in 10 years its happened once.
I even paid $180 for a record the other day and that was fine too.
I can’t guarantee it as I don’t know.
But I believe the difference would still be negligible. Although you have to go to your local depot to pay and pick it up.It is only £4 cheaper to buy it from bigcartel than Frock Steady to Sweden.
And if I get the extra fees (Handling/tax…) they would be around £15 here in Sweden. It almost never happens, I think it happened to me 2-3 times in 10 years.I’ll just have to wait and see then… Anyway, I wanted the grey t-shirt and, as far as I can see, that’s only available from Sub Pop in the US. Tax or no tax, at least I got the instant gratification of a nice 320kbps MP3 of the new track which is sounding lovely.
Any rumours about UK live dates? It looks like it could be pretty much any time, before or after the US dates, or in the big gap in late October. Hopefully there will be more than one, and not just something mid-week in London which is a pain for me. Bristol/Oxford would be good. If it’s going to be solo acoustic, then I think I’m right in saying that’s always meant London in the past (Bush Hall most recently in my case).
Well fingers crossed we have both saved £19 (that’s the difference)
Yea I’m sure he will do a uk gig – I can only remember London gigs though! Hopefully he breaks the trend. I’ve been lucky enough to catch him the 5 times he played-Dingwalls (Camden), Bush Hall, Underworld, Metro,Highbury Garage.
He plays pond song now electro acoustic. There’s a version on you tube thats well worth a listen.

Cool! Yea that’s happened historically….he vists sub pop and then comes to the UK and goes to pias or whoever and plays a one off gig! Two I went too we’re advertised about a week before the show.
But what too ask him that’s not a yes or no 🙂
