May 22, 2007 at 11:44 pm #129283I’ve check the Warehouse Live website for the Houston show and the Ridglea Theater website for the Fort Worth show and both make it look like DinoJr is the opening band. The Black Keys website also has them as opening. What the crap is that? I don’t want to drive roughly 6 hours to each show to see them open up. This is so disappointing.
May 23, 2007 at 6:21 pm #129284Oh man I hope I can go to the show in Nashville!!

I would totally buy tickets for the Atlanta show if Dino was the headliner. Are the Black Keys any good?
May 24, 2007 at 9:57 pm #129286why the hell is it $15 in every other major city but $26 in San Fran? not everyone in this part of the world is loaded!

I’ve heard really good things about the Black Keys live show. I would probably go see the Black Keys out of curiousity if I lived really close to where they are playing. But I don’t think I could stomach having to watch Dino as an opener especially after I’ve seen them/J headline 6 times. I live 5 1/2 to 6 hours away from the closest show and I had planned on taking some time off work and catching several show but I’m not going to do that now.

I wish J/Dino wouldn’t work with the LiveNation/Ticketbastard conglomerate, but I get the sense that management looks out for the promoters who’ll come up with the most dough, and that’s that. At least they play Irving Plaza, which is a great room, rather than the infernally wretched BB King’s. I’ll never waste money on a show in that pit again.

I live right in midtown Atlanta, but I still don’t think I’m going to go. I have seen J/Dino many times over the years, but never as an opener. The abbreviated set would automatically be a let down. The opening slot makes good sense though… It’s a chance to promote the new album to a room full of people that haven’t already bought it. Plus… Dino has been playing The Variety Playhouse on their last couple stops through Atlanta. The Tabernacle is a much bigger room. I’d be pissed if they just played for 30 minutes!

, I can’t believe it…………….I’m going to be out of town.
Summer Solstice night………..what a beautiful night to see a show

but is that all Georgia is getting? Some date as an opener announced only three weeks in advance……….folks have summer plans, our calender is full until August. Everything is weird these days………..this is weird. We must be entering that photon band that every one is taking about.

I would say that the Keys would be the opener but you never know, the Keys are a pretty big band these days.
