I feel that 60 minutes is about optimal, not too long, and not too short. When I use md’s and cd’s I seldom make the mix longer than 60 minutes. Kinda hard to maintain a feel and theme for longer than 60 minutes, and when I try to stretch it past the hour mark it often makes a detour into something completely different -ending up with debris slide as the closer on a otherwise downtempo Pavement mix.Nice tape, though I haven’t bought a rap album since Apocalypse 91, The Enemy Strikes Black, so the 50 cent and ghostface killah is new to me.
January 10, 2004 at 4:22 pm #98347yeah, 60 minutes actually works out. It takes me like 15 minutes to walk to work and 10 to walk home (downhill and coffee intake), so it’s about a side a journey to the dead end we seem to call work. 50 Cent isn’t for everyone, but i think he is funny as all get out, just like Eminem. Comedy and well produced beats, thanks Dr. Dre, lead to interesting tracks.

Used to make C60 mix tapes as well, but the last couple of years I’ve been making my mixes on cd, and they help me make it through my working day (yes, I am lucky enough to have my own office, where I can play my own music…..
