I’m coming, and I’m pretty sure I’m coming by myself. And I’m trying to make some plans for both nights.

November 28, 2006 at 10:16 pm #122902see you all fri and sat – cant wait – wondering how the rebel will be as a venue
November 29, 2006 at 10:14 am #122903I will be there both nights. The Rebel is a really small place. I think this may be the first show or one of them as "Rebel" It used to be called downtime. It is in a building where there are lots of rehersal rooms. I used to practice there alot, and I would walk by the club all the time. It used to be all hip hop, and jazz and what not. It is a really small place.
November 29, 2006 at 6:50 pm #122904so great to hear the rebel is small – is it smaller than irving plaza – the last show i saw was at irving on 12/2 two years ago – missed the warsaw show due to work
November 29, 2006 at 7:14 pm #122905From what I gather, though the whole 2-story club holds around 700 people, they’re only selling 325 tickets for live bands since the performance space is so small. Think twice the size of the Mercury Lounge, and that’s probably on-target. Should be nice and loud.
November 30, 2006 at 8:36 am #122906love this little promo bit for the Rebel shows…
Quote:The last time Dinosaur Jr. played New York, they had all of their gear stolen outside of their Long Island City Hotel room. If J. Mascis traded his capo out for a Club, it’d be hard to blame the guy.
Rebel, 251 W. 30th St. (betw. 7th & 8th Aves.), 212-695-2747; 8, $25November 30, 2006 at 9:26 am #122907Psyched…recent set lists look good….never been in Rebel…hopefully the sound is near as good as in the Mercury lounge.
