Hello Friends —
Does anyone know why there aren’t any Dinosaur "Beyond" dates in New England?
March 22, 2007 at 8:22 pm #126605I would bet that there will be a 2nd leg that hits the east coast.

Last tour they didnt add the Northampton date right away.. it was added later. I’m not sure if this has anything to do with the fact that the Northampton venues are independently owned and tickets can’t be purchased at ticketmaster, etc.
haha, but yeah im getting antsy. what to do, what to do. shall i just take 2-3 days off, take a train to nyc, and watch both irving plaza shows? anyone wanna fund me for that? haha… ill reeeecooooord it. j/k
im actually somewhat tempted. the only thing keeping me is the logical inanity of spending $ taking a train to nyc- spending $ to stay in a NYC hotel for 2-3 nights… taking 2-3 days off of work, which means -$…and paying $ for the shows on top of all that. im not sure, but i dont think i have the $ for that. they are probably the only band though id actually see 2-3 consecutive nights in a row though, so that isnt whats keeping me. practicality is.
i actually spoke to some girl though who was a big tori amos fan. she actually took a flight out to florida (from mass) just to see tori in tampa. then, when she got back to mass, was gonna see her in boston.
im spoiled here in western mass to no ends. (to all of you reading this who is thinking WTF, i live in *insert geographically disparate location here* that is so far from *insert major concert city location here*. I regularly have to put up with this sort of *insert explicitive*. How dare you be so lazy/whatever, arent you a troo fan?)
haha, sorry. 2 am rants are fun. i actually find dino fans to be the best fans ive run across in a long time- and meant nothing againt ya. im clearly a big one myself, haha.
March 23, 2007 at 9:46 am #126607Good points all around. it just seemed strange to me, and still does, to avoid playing any NE shows on the first swing of the touring hammer. Maybe they’ll have some big, hometown release jimmy-jam or something.
One more thing:

I totally share your superfandom. Also, Western Mass. rules!
March 23, 2007 at 10:21 am #126608Keep in mind that they’re shooting up to eastern Canada right after the NYC shows, so it wouldn’t be surprising if they drop in a couple shows in MA on their way back down the east coast.
March 23, 2007 at 1:48 pm #126609im definetely going to both irving plaza shows from worcester, MA. hell i went to both last year and i drove back and went to work at 6am between the two shows. ya do what ya gotta do.
im super psyched for sebadoh next week!@ wish i could go to more than just the MA shows but i dont have the fundings for traveling right now.

Ha, yeah. I’ll be at the Sebadoh show next week in Noho. My problem is i no longer have a car. though- no gas $ and no parking $ = about the same (maybe) as the price of a bus ticket. so, whos knows.
if i go to the nyc shows ill def record them though…
March 24, 2007 at 2:01 pm #126611you gonna record sebadoh?
