best dinosaur show ever. great energy, even better than the boston show. J’s new song once again. great liked it even better tonight. Lou’s new song was also great. really rockin and different, almost reminds of like.. deluxe folk implosion if anyone knows that shit. like reeeally rockin new wave..rock? haha. feel the pain and out there we’re really great tonight as well.. even tighter.. lou was singing with j during feel the pain, i liked that. j seemed to dig it as well he looked over and smiled.

the crowd was much more chilled out than last years show at pearl street which had alot of moshing and crazy dancing haha. lou acknowledged it at one point and someone said "play hardcore" and murph start a fast beat. that was right before kracked and at that point the crowd really picked up.

they came back for the encore and J immediatly raged into the intro to lose. i was VERY suprised i didn’t think we we’re gonna hear it. The crowd started going nuts rocking out to lose. then they asked the crowd what was next. some bulbs of passion screams from the crowd, a little talking between j and murph then j went into it. then murph’s pick.. in a jar.. j’s pick CHUNKS.. there was the hardcore. the crowd was going crazy. great ending to a great show.

saw thurston, steve shelly and lee renaldo as i was leaving. had to say to thurston "YOU SAW VOIDOIDS A HUNDRED TIMES?" someone who gets that reference is my new best friend. thurston liked it haha.

      great show!

yeah, I’ll be at both NY shows, but I’m just going to get messed up.

After hearing the vocals pretty well last night, I think the new Lou song was "Back to Your Heart". He intro’ed the song by saying "Thanks to Mike Flood for helping me write this one".

I totally thought "Feel the Pain" was great – weird seeing both Murph and Lou play on that one.

yeah, great show last night….i got a few pics i will post later today. i also video’d all of the new song, this is all i came to do, which ill try to have up on youtube today also.seems dinosaur requested no video, audio or photos last night. i snapped a bunch without the flash, but once i started usin the flash i was told to stop by security after 3 or 4 pics..same with the video..luckily the security guy was very cool and let me keep all i had, he told me they were supposed to delete any video taken, but he didnt make me..haha…the vid sounds great too…the pics came out pretty good…although it seems when i dont use the flash, they come out somewhat blurry. its funny, i specifically wasnt using the flash cause i didnt see any going off…but for the encore i figured what the hell, and snapped a few, then got cut off..i agree though….really amazing show last night…could have been louder though, many calls for the volume to be cranked throughout the night. i was right agaisnt the PA on Js side and my ears werent even ringing after the show, the vid i filmed was also from right against the PA but it sounds good….i think i like lous new song better. Kracked > SLudgefeast….as its supposed to be played…sick!

seeing j lou and murph playing Out There, my fav dino song….was AWESOME!

It really was a great show. I though the sound was pretty bad for the first half with the vocals buried and almost inaudible, but the music was excellent. The vocal problem might just have been me cuz I was pretty much right in front of J slightly towards the middle of the stage, and that might have negated hearing a good amount of vocals. It was a great show and I was really glad to hear "Lose" also the encore of "In A Jar" was about one of the better ones I’ve heard, I was sorta yelling/suggesting that one during encores. It was a really good show, I enjoyed it a lot, and luckily I’m not as deaf as I thought I was gonna be!

Last year at the two shows I went to Lou told people that if they wanted to hear the vocals they had to move back. He got really impatient about it at the Covington, KY show. It was funny.

Yeah I figured as much. I mean it wasn’t a problem I just wasn’t sure if it was just cause I was being assaulted with the music up front, or if it was PS (honestly I don’t like seeing shows there the sound bounces off the walls and it gets really muddled). Not completely hearing the vocals didn’t take any enjoyment away from the show that I had. Had it been as loud as I was first expecting I woulda moved back, but it wasn’t too bad and it was fun being that close.

I like being up front too. I think the vocals are hard to make out anyway plus I’m always singing along so I can’t tell if they’re audible or not, I know what they are even if no one else around me does!

yeah a bunch of people were screaming "SOUND GUY TURN THE VOCALS UP" and i had to scream "THERES NO VOCALS IN DINSOAUR"

well, it wasnt only the vocals…it was still a great show..but i dont expect to stand right next to the PA within inches, at a dinosaur jr show, and not have to move because of pain at some point. i happen to like it better a little less loud…like last night. ive seen them 4 or 5 times now since the reunion, none of the shows have been especially loud.

I see J replaced his pedalboard.
