I read somewhere that Lou Barlow´s mom is involved helping children with autissm, but I´m not sure if she´s got something to do with this event.

from the Pitchfork Sebadoh article, king of carrot flowers posted today:

Barlow tells Pitchfork that his mother, of all people, was instrumental in further cementing the reunion when she asked her son and Loewenstein to play together at a benefit show for Community Resources for People with Autism in Eastham, MA. This yielded another two-week tour, and the boys seemed to be back on a roll.

I don’t know if that "Eastham, MA" show is the same one we’re talking about here, but very cool to see how playing for Community Resources for People with Autism made Lou & Jake continue to play together :)🙂

For those interested what Sebadoh are up to – I caught 2 of their Euro shows last October, and it was amazing ! They did it semi-accoustic, with Lou on accoustic guitar and J on bass, for drum backing they used Lou´s Tascam 4-track and played back cassette tapes with pre-recorded drums (courtesy Jason Loewenstein). They did about 1/4 of Weed Forestin and did those tracks EXACTLY the way they sound on record, it was really beautiful…. Hey, I can even imagine Lou and J getting back together for 1 or 2 songs, Lou has been really pushing himself to "communicate" on a more personal level after all these years of struggeling….

Anthony, I want to purchase you another ticket, if you wish to bring a friend or someone to help with anything. I would also like to purchase a ticket for anyone who lives near and would like to go but does not have the money now. I can have the tickets sent to your address. I want to support this show but can’t get up there.
(I had to reinstall everything on this computer and now my link to e-mail is not working) I tried to E-mail this to Anthony but was faster to post. Lent begins tomorrow so I will not be checking my E-mail after 12pm tonight. I will go ahead and get tickets.

Insound is very proud to be the online media sponsor for this benefit. Community Resources for People with Autism is a nonprofit agency that works with families who have children with autism. They are dedicated to providing families with support and assistance to ensure that their children can remain at home with their families as well being part of their communities. Because of state budget cuts it is becoming more difficult to serve the increasing numbers of children who are diagnosed with autism. Since 1989 Community Resources has grown from serving 50 families to more than 500 families today and that number is only growing.

*sigh* …I had to cross a ocean to be there :|
I like Annastefka’s way to support the event :!: :)
If there is someone else out there who would love to be at the show, but lacking in money, I’d be willing to give out another ticket. just drop a line :)

I’m happy with you kracked873, have tons of fun there!
