I’m going tonight…how was last nights show ? Set List anyone ? Anyone tape it ?
Psyched !!!December 2, 2006 at 10:08 am #123627More or less the same setlist as the other shows. Opened with Out There, Feel the Pain sounded excellent (which is really a surprising comment, coming from me). I’m hoarse from shouting for Tarpit all night, which is ok, because they opened the encore with it. The show ended with Just Like Heaven. No real surprises (no Yeah We Know, for instance), but a great show. Lose, in particular, sounded ferocious. I can’t really remember the setlist — never mind in order — but you won’t be disappointed. Probably the weirdest thing was no Lung (maybe the first time in the 18 years I’ve been seeing Dino/J that they haven’t played it), but that just means they’ll almost certainly play it tonight. Looking forward to it, even if my ears are pretty damn muffled today.
December 2, 2006 at 10:35 am #123628I was at the show last night, but couldn’t mark the SECOND encore song, between Tarpit and Heaven….what was it?

Yeah, that was pretty funny. How long did J solo in the middle of Raisans? 5 minutes? More? It was endless, in the best possible way.
December 2, 2006 at 1:08 pm #123632they did some of cats in a bowl? or are you refering to the line in forget the swan?
December 2, 2006 at 1:14 pm #123633yeah, they played half of it then stopped

Late…..around 10:45 or so. I wouldn’t count on that happening again tonight, though, as they might’ve gotten into the city late yesterday or something. If you show up by 9:30, you’re fine, and there are a number of places to hang in the club if you end up having to kill time.
December 2, 2006 at 2:31 pm #123637i had a feeling it’d be late style….
was there an opener? will there be tonight..?December 2, 2006 at 4:52 pm #123638Dinosaur Jr rules! Live in NYC
December 2, 2006 at 9:59 pm #123639They did almost all of "Living all over me" one or two from "DInosaur", "Just like Heaven", wagon, freakscene and feel the pain, plus the two new ones, one of them Lou’s. Awesome, awesome set, I’ll try and get pics. up or link to vid. soon. Vocals were low in the mix, I must say, I was partially deaf after the second song though. I like Lou’s chancre sore. Naughty boy.
December 2, 2006 at 11:12 pm #123640Crazy. I am loving this band right now. I wonder if anyone recorded the NY shows? What I’d *really* like to see is the Ireland shows recorded. Especially Galway. That’s so cool they are playing Galway. It’s such an amazing place.
… I’d totally record every show for freesofree if I went on tour with them. ‘bands professional recorder’ thatd be my title… hold on, someones at the door. it’s reality.

really… it is rather neat when you think about it. 100 years from now… people can hear the live progression of the band over the years. in terms of preserving rock/music history, i think that is amazing.
