The only way to have a private phone conversation in my house circa 1975 was to go around the corner
and into the bathroom and shut the door. The long curly cord would then be strung across the entrance to the kitchen causing everyone to have to step over it.

My favorite song in the whole world was "Fire" from the Ohio Players, I could listen to it over and over again.

AND a trip to Acapulco Mexico was every upper middle class dwellers dream.

I did have to walk to school with my little sister on my back (metaphorically) for years. :D

Yeah, and the phone was the kind with the plastic dial, not a push button one.

              – Gasoline was less than a dollar
              – You could actually BUY Unleaded gasoline
              – Headbangers Ball on MTV RULED!
              – It was cool to listed to Joan Jett and Duran Duran
              – I loved putting on my acid washed jeans and hanging out at the arcade. ::)

In my best Edith Bunker voice: "Those were the days"

Gosh, "vintage" and "extreme" have got to be the most overused words in the English language.
And hey, I’m 33 and proud of it, you whippersnapper! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a bingo game I’ve got to be at before my nap time…..

I remember the days you needed a large room to store your music collection (on vinyl of course…. 8)), nowadays you just need a gizmo the size of a stamp….. ::)

….and for the computer people amongst us: I still have the first program I’ve ever written on a deck of 80-column punch cards…. ;D (written in SATHE [Simplified ALGOL TH Eindhoven] ) ;)

Awesome! I’ve got a few old radio’s with vacuum tubes. I use COBAL and PASCAL programs at work too.

Sorry, headbangers ball? that makes you to young for this thread. Those of us who are "old" were too busy working to pay off the student loan or our first mortgage/rent or following a toddler around to be veggin’ out to Mtv in the late 80’s.

try again in 10 years, ;)

                              K. How about Night Flight 8). Anybody remember that? Kind of a mish mash of video’s and featurettes that was around in the early eighties. I remember watching Iggy Pop’s "Pain and Suffering" video on there. 8)
