March 25, 2002 at 1:23 pm #62447Solo acoustic?
March 25, 2002 at 1:29 pm #62448two acoustics, plenty of distortion
March 25, 2002 at 1:47 pm #62449So will a tape tree be set up then? Because that would be preferable over digitizing, IMO.
March 25, 2002 at 1:55 pm #62450Anthony-like Jeremiah said, looking forward to it and thanks for the set list

March 25, 2002 at 5:17 pm #62452yeah. Thank you very much J, George, and Jeremiah.
Another Girl Another Planet, we’ll be getting these videos out as soon as we can.
peaceMarch 25, 2002 at 7:48 pm #62453Too cool
You had the occasion to watch the show, to record it all and you met J ?!?!!!
Really looking forward to hear more March 26, 2002 at 2:22 am #62454Saturday evening in Philly was euphoric. For me, it was a great combination of music, vibes, and chemistry. Sea of Cortez has won me over! The sound/acoustics at North Star Bar were great. Everything went better than expected. Antho and I had a great spot on the side of the stage for viewing and taping. The camera was respected by the crowd.
Big thanks to Anthony and Jeremiah! Also want to thank Sea of Cortez and J for permission to tape and photograph (of course permission to photograph was probably unnecessary considering the many flashes I saw during the show). And of course much gratitude to J for letting us meet with him.March 26, 2002 at 1:27 pm #62455Anthony – anxiously awaiting some info- can you at least tease us with a preview of some of the questions and answers form your interview?
dfk
March 26, 2002 at 1:35 pm #62456sure thing !! i’m gonna post the entire interview here after lunch sometime !!
March 26, 2002 at 1:38 pm #62457oh yeah, for all you guitar heads out there: j was looping tracks. (you’ll see from the vid)……
March 28, 2002 at 6:36 pm #62458I cannot wait to see the video. It will be the first time I’ve seen him play Philly…and I was there. I’d drive up again from Richmond in a minute, but if he every plays North Star again I’ll get there in the morning when the bar opens so I can get ‘squatters rights" on a standing position with a view.

March 29, 2002 at 5:34 am #62459Hey everyone out there. First I’d like to thank J for having our roving tweak-show along for the weekend. It was a truly great time for us. It had been a while since we had played a real rock show. It felt great to shake off the rust and play MY drums for a change. I’d also like to thank Artie Smith for loaning us a couple of amps and one sweet Gibson ES-355. It’s not every day that someone lets you borrow their $8,000 guitar for a weekend. Props! Last and not least, I’d like to thank everyone that came out to the shows. I hope that most of you enjoyed what we hung out there. I realize that not everyone is going to like any given band, but I felt that you all were at the very least, respectful. Hopefully some of you even liked it. I do know that you all were treated to Mr. Mascis in fine form. He really did deliver the goods. Thanks J!
-George-
P.S. I don’t wanna forget to thank Jeremiah and everyone else at FreakScene.net for their support and enthusiasm. It was great that you put the tunes up and really promoted our involvement with the shows. You guys (and gals) ROCK!
