      or those familiar with the Phoenix area..

      My work is taking me away from Huntington Beach, CA for 2 weeks in July, and sending me to Phoenix, Arizona. Ugh… From mild low 70’s F temps to well over 105 F <img> . <img> I will be there from July 7 – 12, and 14-19 or so.. Since the work I will be performing will be done before nightfall, where can I go to check out some music in town? Yes, I will have a car so Glendale, Scottsdale, Tempe, etc.. will be fine. So where can I check some cool local music?

      Also, any cool piano bars in the greater Phoenix area? Blues?

        carl, i lived in tempe a few (10) years ago, and used to frequent a place called long wong’s, local bands and pretty good beer selection. there was a GREAT dive bar there (tempe) that i can’t recall the name of, but i saw the meat puppets there for 4 bucks! when it comes to me i’ll drop you the name……..
