Just standing in central park were a used to hang everyday as a teenager listening to Dino Jr. I don’t think it sold out but was packed. The biggest crowd I have seen for Dino that I can remember. They played better than they ever had together. Really put on a show for the New Yorkers. I saw Lee Renaldo. Bummed I didn’t run into some of the other people I knew would be there but still it was great. I am still in shock and awe. There was one momment J threw off his guitar, let it feed back grabbed another and kept singning that was awesome. I hope someone recorded it. ANd the DVD should just be this show.

Quote:ANd the DVD should just be this show.no doubt a lot of us would love to see the NYC show, I’m hoping they include more than just a few bits from all shows & one or two whole shows, one from Europe & North America would be cool.
July 15, 2005 at 10:24 am #111036I’m still in shock. I can’t believe how great that show was. I saw Thurston in line getting a bite to eat and J and Lee watching BSS. I didn’t see any cameras but I hope to hell that show makes the dvd. My boyfriend was kinda bummed they didn’t play the Leper but hopefully they’ll come back again!!!
July 15, 2005 at 10:53 am #111037great reviews, thoughts and pics all around

sounds like they rocked the apartments round the Central Park
July 16, 2005 at 7:48 am #111038Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon were there. and i fucking hugged KIM GORDON!!
July 16, 2005 at 2:04 pm #111039Yeah, that was an astoundingly great show — out of Northampton, Boston and NYC, I’d have to say the Central Park one had the most magic and energy. All three were incredible, though. The level at which this band is currently playing is one few bands ever attain, and Murph has totally gotten his chops back. He’s one fierce fucking drummer. And Lou’s bass sound just shreds and rumbles like nobody’s business. I saw the J/Lou/Murph lineup in their original go-round, and as players and as a band together, on this tour they’ve totally transcended where they were originally. I only wish I could see three more shows. I’m tired as hell, though.
J’s Discharge shirt at Central Park ruled.
