"Almost Ready" on MLB 2K8
I picture Murph as a catcher; Lou a left fielder; J at third (I’m sure he’s got a cannon arm)
March 4, 2008 at 2:35 pm #133079never pictured them having songs in video games, especially sports ones, but good for them i guess.
March 5, 2008 at 9:33 am #133080It would be better if Almost Ready was in a Guitar Hero game! That would kick ass!
March 7, 2008 at 6:01 pm #133081anyone else think this is lame?

March 8, 2008 at 11:07 am #133083I think the fact they have a song on the video game is great. A friend of mines band had a song on the Twisted Metal game for the PS2, and he said the money they received for their song being on the video game was greater then any other pay day his band had ever received.
Dino gets some extra cash, and may even get some new fans. How is that lame?

Please dont take my responses as an attack, just a differing opinion.
They are grown men. Two of them have a wife and child. I’m guessing they were offered money to have a song of their’s in a video game. How is that selling out? It’s not like they have comprimised their music in any way. Dinosair Jr is my favorite band. Their music has brought me much joy over the years. Any time I see them get paid, I’m happy. I don’t understand why so many people want their favorite artist to be poor. To me , the idea of selling out would be comprimising the music, and I don’t think Dinosaur has ever done that.
March 8, 2008 at 6:37 pm #133087i agree with you Tom. i wouldnt call it lame. they are a quality band and theres a sort of quality song being put on a game and i dont think its gonna catch on like crazy just cuz kids are playing it.
March 9, 2008 at 12:06 am #133088i don’t think its selling out or any thing like that but a baseball ball game and dino seem weird
March 9, 2008 at 4:43 am #133089Who cares. It’s not new material nor is the song worth a flip. would’ve been nice to hear the rifs put together for the childrens trivial pursuit game, but I think it is known whose attitude was scoped and chosen for that add.
Kracked would be a great one for a baseball game.

Yeah, there also is that to be taken into consideration. I agree with that, but I don’t think any of them are too desperate for cash, and their songs could be put into better games, like Guitar Hero or something more relevant

March 19, 2008 at 5:23 am #133092I thought J was really into baseball/softball and that sort of thing …
Wasn’t J in some sort of tournament in the Phillipines years ago?
