So sorry Vic..
Wow, had to edit my post…..just spoke with some folks at church…although several blogs have said
that Vic passed away….I’ve just heard that he is alive (although hanging on by the thinnest of threads).Spending some time sending out prayers…I want the best for him….he may be ready to get off this ride.
I’m just praying that he gets what he needs.December 25, 2009 at 1:19 pm #137183Most reports say he`s gone

A man of honesty and humour. You will be missed man
December 25, 2009 at 8:20 pm #137184yes SG, he died this afternoon around 3pm, although he was showing no brain activity yesterday, I think that is why there was confusion…it was all over but the shouting by this morning… making the decision to take him off the ventilator, decisions about organ donation etc… My daughter Liliana’s teacher Chris, is a very close friend of Vic’s…and can be seen playing bass in the video I posted here from youtube called Cobbham Blues. Great song. Here is an interview with Terry Gross from the radio show Fresh Air..from just a few weeks ago. Lots of suicide and death talk. Not an upbeat interview really but if you would like to hear it..it’s here: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=120978388″>http://www.npr.org/templates/story/stor … =120978388

I know it’s a bright and cheery christmas subject but for bleep’s sake, do it. I don’t want any confusion of my wants of not living a life hooked up to a respirator.
And I’m sorry for everyone’s loss in the passing of Vic Chesnutt. Especially on christmas. All these tragedies in the world just cement my hatred for this time of year.

It seems ironic that my first Vic album About To Choke I got for Xmas in 1996. -
